I would spend soooo much on doing my nails and feet that I finally started doing them myself. It was a pain in the ass for sure, getting used to it, but it helped save big money. I found that with the pedicures, a lot of times I could do a better job, at least with the scrubbing of the soles of the feet. When i'd have the nail ladies do the scrubbing, a lot of times they'd miss rough spots...and i'd wonder " why didn't I just have them do a polish change and I could have done the scrubbing part...polish changes usually are just 5 dollars, versus 25 for pedicure." Same with nails, if you're really unsteady-handed or want a flawless job, haev them just do a color change on your finger nails, but before you go, do the filing and put some oil on your cuticles and push them back. Can save big $

I know!!! i'm just going back too after a 6 month hiatus and I spent so much money before I even went into the club! I am pretty low maintenance as far as strippers go too (no hair extensions currently, don't do nails)

    $50 makeup/babywipes/body spray
    $20 energy drinks/gum/protein bars
$10 expensive nasty chemical free nail polish since I don't get my nails done
    $70 tanning (3 sessions)
$35 new gym membership a couple weeks ago to tighten up

and there's probably more, and there will be more because I plan on getting micro-rings or great lengths 20 inch extensions next month so I don't have to damage my curly hair straightening it and putting clip ins for work. I had extensions when I danced before and it cut an hour out of my prep time and saved my hair so much damage- I just braided it wet before I went to sleep and woke up with perfect beachy wavy hair... so expensive though!

it's worth it... i made the $ back and more the first night.

You ladies are crazy! I seriously would look like the most ghetto stripper next to y'all. I used to do some of these things (tanning, etc.) until I figured out that guys don't even notice the difference. Now I'm el-cheapo stripper.

Probably because I work in a supah dive. Dive clubs FTW!!

Tell me about it! Every six weeks I spend over $150 on my hair, and then every 3 months it's an extra $200 on my hair(Brazilian blow-out), toes and nails not too bad, maybe $80 a month, I'm gonna start getting some injectables...I'm looking at around $600-$700 every 3-6 months(haven't done it yet, no clue how long it'll last on me...). I don't spend a ton of money on outfits but I tend to buy a lot of them, so it adds up. Make-up I'm cheap with, but again it really adds up. I'd love to get hair extensions, but after the initial $1000 to get them in, it would still be over $300 every so many months for touch ups....

I am not entirely low maintainance, but because I was/often broke... I have found out cheaper ways to do things and the results come out nicely.

I get my hair trimmed with a root touch up every 8 or so weeks. I go to the beauty school nearby. The dye job was 25 and the hair cut was 9. It looks just as good as going to a salon. The instructors at these schools make it a point to check up with the student every step of the way. The only problem is it takes longer this way.

I used to do the mani and pedi specials where it was 25 or 35 for both. Since February and March have been kind of bad for me, I have started just keeping them clean and trim without polish. I always got a buff for my hands because polish just doesn't last very long. Honestly, none of he customers have commented on my toes polished or unpolished. Alot of the beauty schools also offer nail services.

I don't tan. I have one pair of shoes that I purchased on sale in black back in November. They go with everything and have been thankfully pretty sturdy. I have five outfits in my rotation and two garters. I haven't really wanted to buy more. Thank God I don't work at a gown club either. A couple of the baby dolls I have were ones I already owned.
When I start traveling, I plan on to get a couple more.

I also get my makeup from Walmart or CVS. Thank goodness I had alot of what I needed already. I do want to try Lashblast. I always liked Covergirl.

The Housemom provides alot of things, but I do have a bunch of stuff for when she isn't there. My mints, bandaids, etc I got from Dollar Tree.

Dude, I am totally el cheapo stripper. I do my own everything. Hair, nails, everything. And while I don't work at a high end club it ain't a total dive and I make just as much as the girls who spend like woah every week. The only thing I really spend money on is chemical peel facials because I think good skin is the cornerstone of beauty and my skin is in need of serious love after a bout with late onset acne. But aside from that, forget it. I might go to a salon for a major change but I prefer to spend my monies on other stuff. But I suppose I'd have to spend it if I ever wanted to work in a high end club...

Eh, I'll probably never work at a high end club. I'm too lazy.

Two things I've just started doing that are saving me a ton of $$$$:

Buy my false eyelashes from www.elf.com for $1 a set. Get on their mailing list, and they have free shipping or buy one get one 50% off sales all the time.

Only go to the hair salon every 3 months. In between, I touch up my roots/all over color myself with Perfect 10 haircolor (about $12 from Ulta, CVS, or Target, and I look for coupons). It's almost fool-proof, and it comes out fabulous every time.

Now if I can just curb my impulse spending every time the costume lady comes to the club!

I've tried this, and it just fails miserably. It seems like for some reason, there's subtle - but really uncomfortable - differences in different lots of batches of the same style shoes. I've sat in a store trying on the same shoe style in the same size until I find one that's made "right". It's super irritating.

Ill be honest, ive never had a manicure or a pedicure in my life. i keep my nails short, sometimes i might paint them, and my feet kind of look like hell and i usually wear kneehighs so you cant see em.

although making 1100$ off of a foot fetish customer has made me consider getting a pedicure. my feet are ticklish though... im not sure if i could handle it.

my hair on the other hand-- i spend on that. i have the microlink extensions and my hair grows really fast so i need to get them redone a lot. and i spend on makeup and fake tans for sure.

    but nails...
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

Thanks--the website is actually www.eyeslipsface.com not www.elf.com. Sorry about that!

But yeah, they have decent makeup at rock bottom prices. Love'em!

^^I love their make-up too! I just ordered some more last night. Their mineral make-up is really good too.

Family Dollar has a generic brand of Oil of Olay moisturizer that works really well. I am a diabetic(which causes dry skin) and will be 37 next week and it makes my skin so soft.

A great moisturizer for the body is Olay In Shower Body Lotion. My husband loves this stuff on me. He says my skin has never felt so wonderful. LOL.

My nails are press ons, when I do not grow my natural ones out. The beauty schools are great for eyebrow waxing, facials, make-up application, and any hairstyling.

There has to be a way to do all that without going broke. If you're just breaking even, it's not worth the expense imo. You can look awesome without going into debt.

Target an Big Kmart sell E.L.F. products, but I'm not sure how much is available. I did get some lip stuff from Target. For hair, if you can find the right one, Best Cuts is awesome! That's the only tips I have...lol...

Ahh yeah there is that issue. I've had that happen and it SUXBAWLZ.

I try to wait til the stores do buy one get one or some sort of sale. Then I stay in there for hours trying shit on til I find ones that fit and then buy like 4 pair at once. You did ballet, correct? do you have the jacked up toes that don't fit into anything LOL? Best thing I ever did when wearing strippah boots was get some of the foam point shoe pads and stick them into my boots. like dancing on pillows!

    I have my spending budgeted:
80/month for general work stuff (up to 1 pedi a month, hair cut, occasional makeup). That's 960/year. I used to spend more, but I realized that I didn't have to do stuff like style my hair, wear sparkly lotion (or any lotion) get my nails done (I can do them myself), or buy lots of outfits.

I have two main outfits I wear that make me money.

I get my hair trimmed once a month.

I really only need to replace mascara and lipstick/gloss in my makeup collection, and have been whittling it down because I really don't need more than two colors each of gloss and lipstick.

My only exception is shadows, but I buy them from fyrinnae, and never spend more than $20 for 8-10 shadow samples.

If you're a lower maintenance stripper, it doesn't have to be too expensive.

Thanks! I tend to just listen to their complaints and then shrug it off. Half the time they are back their messing around and complaining why they've only made $40. Cause you spend all your time back here changing outfits and putting on makeup thinking it'll get everyones $$$. lol. It's whatever. I'm really new and they must think I'm impressionable enough to turn me into how they look.

Anyways, I have expenses just like most of the girls, mostly disposable razors, shaving cream and little essentials for my bag. Mini tissues, germ X etc. Not too bad!

Tonight, actually. I have quite a few "money guys", that notice all that and more.

When they come in, I go from low maintenance to super high maintenance in 2.1 seconds, lol!

I mean, and the glitz, glam, and bling. It drives me crazy actually, but it pays off at the end of the night!

I need to stop attracting gay guys than... I found the natural thing has really been popular lately, that doesn't mean go in like you hopped out of bed but a ponytail seems to go a long way, minus the eyelashes I feel like I have gotten ready half assed but it seems to do the trick. I took my acrylics off and my SO picked out this really cool blue polish, I did not know what color to pick, so I asked him. I have, had guys compliment that color 1000x more than my manicure.. go figure.
Maybe when our men say we look good we should listen more often.

Men only have three boob sizes, small, big and huge, they aren't looking at our costumes, they want to see us with them off, that is why they buy private dances to keep our clothing off. I don't think all of us rock the uber glam thing as well as others. I guess it is just an opinion but I had more fun when I didn't spray tan and I didn't use false eyelashes and now it just sucks.

Totally feel your pain about how expensive it is. I used to get acrylic nails but I stopped not only cause of the cost but it really messed up my nails! For the longest time it has an indent across my nails which didn't go away for months!!! I just paint them myself now, guys don't really seem to notice the difference.

I do a spray tan probably once a week which is $20 for me, which isn't too bad, I think.

The real big killer is I work at a gown club and the good quality gowns are like at least $75. I make pretty good money right now, so its not too expensive when you break it down, but I'd still rather buy something I can actually wear outside the club for $75+.

My guilty pleasure is makeup, I can't go into a Sephora without dropping at least $100, its horrible...oh yeah I try to avoid cosmetic section at department stores but I usually give in. I need to stop, lol.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, HAIR! I dye my hair platinum blonde and I have dark hair naturally so I have to get my roots done at least once a month. That costs about $150 for a single process and haircut. I do love my hair though.
