id actually be interested to escape the summer heat. and ive never been to iceland.

what type of clubs over there? Topless? nude?

also, visas.... not sure how those work for iceland.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

yeah i'd love to go to iceland. but i thought iceland was one of the countries hit hardest in the global recession, how is there money out there now? and i've heard it's quite expensive to live there so i'd imagine dancing would need to be very lucrative to cover the costs. but i'd be interested in more info. i would just hope i don't get sold into the sex slave trade or something lol.

Dizzy Re: Dancers needed in Iceland.

An Icelandic volcano, dormant for 200 years, has erupted, ripping a 1km-long fissure in a field of ice on 03/20/2010.
The volcano near Eyjafjallajoekull glacier began to erupt just after midnight, sending lava a hundred metres high.
Icelandic airspace has been closed, flights diverted and roads closed. The eruption was about 120km (75 miles) east of the capital, Reykjavik.
About 500 people were moved from the area, a civil protection officer said.
"We estimate that no-one is in danger in the area, but we have started an evacuation plan and between 500 and 600 people are being evacuated," Sigurgeir Gudmundsson of the Icelandic civil protections department told the Agence France-Presse news agency.
The area is sparsely populated, but the knock-on effects from the eruption have been considerable.
A state of emergency is in force in southern Iceland and transport connections have been severely disrupted, including the main east-west road.
"Ash has already begun to fall in Fljotshlid and people in the surrounding area have reported seeing bright lights emanating from the glacier," RUV public radio said on its website.

"It was a bit scary, but still amazing to see," Katrin Moller Eiriksdottir, who lives in Fljotshlid, told the BBC News website.
"The ash had started falling and we couldn't leave the car."
Three Icelandair flights, bound for Reykjavik from the United States, were ordered to return to Boston, RUV radio reported.
Domestic flights were suspended indefinitely, but some international flights were scheduled to depart on Sunday.
There had initially been fears that the volcano could cause flooding, as it causes ice to melt on the glacier above it, but that scenario appears to have been avoided.
However, it could cause more activity nearby, scientists say.
"This was a rather small and peaceful eruption but we are concerned that it could trigger an eruption at the nearby Katla volcano, a vicious volcano that could cause both local and global damage," said Pall Einarsson, a geophysicist at the University of Iceland's Institute of Earth Science, Associated Press news agency reported.
As the eruption is taking place in an area that is relatively ice free, there is little chance of a destructive glacier burst like the one that washed away part of the east-west highway four years ago, after an eruption under the vast Vattnajoekull glacier.
Iceland lies on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the highly volatile boundary between the Eurasian and North American continental plates, with quakes and eruptions.
The last volcanic eruption in the Eyjafjallajoekull area occurred in 1821.

    Actually that happend 03/20/2010

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8578576.stm

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...r-glacier.html

Scientists are flying over southern Iceland to evaluate whether it's safe for people to return to their homes after a volcanic eruption. Saturday night's eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano — which is located near a glacier of the same name — shot ash and molten lava into the air and forced nearly 500 people to evacuate their homes.

I wouldn't think it is a good time right now... the tourist season started with a Volcanic Eruption.. so that is considered a type of Bang!! LMAO

    HockeyBobby, my thoughts exactly!
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

    Hi.
The thing is that the economy was hit pretty hard, but that has only led to a different tourism.
People are doing more, paying for BIGGER trips, gettin BETTER food, partying HARDER and letting loose more often so the entertainment business will no doubt blossom.

With an event like this (the eruption) there comes a great deal of people, for there is not very often that people get the chance to see volcanic eruptions up close...(reasonably though )
Tourists are paying from 150 euro(around 30.000 ískr) for a car-ride to the volcano (in a steroid JEEP) so the companies in the personal entertainment industry see a big difference in income.
Also, because the "cheapness" of the country, seminars and masses are directed here, so big groups of bored young people should be a regular (haha)

Actually my first thought was that the volcano IS the tourist attraction. Yes they evacuated 600 or so residents, but they can helicopter in way more than that for lots of $$$$ or whatever Icelandic money is
    Go eco-tourism!!

so what are the clubs like out there and how do we know that we won't be pimped out or something...i'm not trying to be all suspicious but i've just heard a lot of stories about women being lured into working as dancers and then forced into prostitution. if i knew more about this and felt safe, this is definitely something i'd love to do, i've always wanted to go to iceland.

well the legislation is quite strict here, so we would all be in trouble if we went out of the framework.
NO prostitution, no poles in sight and NO table dances.
The club in question is a champagne club, offering Stage Show(gogo, teasers ,strip, dance.)
    Also private dances.

The income can be really high for the right girl, and the "days off" can be an adventure.

^^that's what i've been thinking. i just don't think i'd feel secure enough to do it. i know iceland is an extremely safe country and has had a lot of wealth but there are a lot of beautiful icelandic women, i don't see why they want to recruit americans....

Yes, as a blonde, that would probably be one of the last places I'd go - too much competition from similar looks!

yeah too much competition for me as well considering i'm blonde and Scandinavian. i'd feel at a disadvantage because i don't speak Icelandic or other scandinavian languanges.

By far most strippers in Iceland are foreign women and are `encouraged´ to also sell sex. Not much is relevant though, as the last stripclub of Iceland will close this summer as stripping will be illegal in Iceland.

yea didnt think of that. these days i rock out hte 8 inch heels and have really blonde hair and im half swedish, so i often go for the Scandinavian sex goddess angle. id rather be the only Scandinavian sex goddess in the room .
