Default Retired but making a comeback

    Hello Everyone,

Been reading up on the Portland scene, looking to see what the difference in money is between dancing in/around portland vs bartending and waitressing in a strip clubs is these days. I danced off and on for a few years and have bartending under my belt, but i've been out of the game for a few years. Back when I danced, i averaged 200-600 bucks a shift and the bartenders and waitresses sometimes would match that or make way more. One bartender would get away with charging 200 or more for a private dance at the end of the night just because she wasnt a "stripper", props for making the sale! lol, seems like the money would almost be comparable, have heard many bartenders in regular night clubs make 300-700 a night, would imagine itd be way more in strip club.

Its always harder to get a waitress/bar shift then it is a dancing shift, think it would be best to start off dancing then trying to move up the "pole" to waitress then bartender? if so, any recommendations on a club where that might work and what the money is like?

THanks for all your advice in advance

    Lucki

    Welcome back!

I don't really have much advice for you - but I do know that waitresses at some clubs can get dances and get away with charging more... but you have to realize that it isn't common so you are probably better off just dancing.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

    Hey Thanks,

I dont mind dancing, its just my body is tellling me its almost time to hang up my 6inches and pole swinging for good, that kinda why I was wanting to get in on the serving drinks end of it, im good for that kinda thing, dancing sure takes its toll on knees, feet and back after so long, and im a few years from 30 still lol. Trying to figure out what my best chances of getting a job like that in town might be, seemed like years ago, you had to just be in the right place, usually a dancer that wanted to retire moving up to waitress and bar, just gotta figure out where to go short of hitting all 5million clubs in town in person lol.
