Default Do you tell customers about stage fees, etc.?

For some reason a lot of customers lately have been asking me if we get paid by the club. At my club the stage fees are $100-200 a shift and I sort of want customers to know that, and know that I need to make money, but I can't decide if it's a bad idea and I should let them think that I'm only there because I love to party and writhe around on dudes' laps for fun. So far I've been telling them the truth and it does seem like they usually get at least one dance and often tip me too after they know. I don't know, it seems like a lot of people think that all strippers make, like, $2000 a night so their $20 or a tip on stage wont make a difference. I sort of hope the guys I tell will spread the word if they know the truth. I know it probably wont make a difference in most people's spending habits in strip clubs, but I like to pretend it might. What do you think?

I only tend to mention my fees if a guy is curious and asks flat out, or if I have an asshole haggling me trying to get me to discount my dance prices or dance for free.

I've done it both ways and settled on this method - it doesn't really seem to affect my income one way or another. Guys who want to spend will, and guys who are broke or cheap are gonna be broke or cheap no matter what fees I have to pay.

I'll tell the truth if the guy asks questions about it. When they ask how much a dancer makes I usually tell them thousands. They always buy dances from me after that.

If they ask then I tell them, but don't whine about it. Many customers hate dancers that complain.

In a SC I wouldn't mention it. I don't find it sexy and I like to perpetuate the myth of being a hot young stripper swimming in money.

At the peepshows I work at a guy has to put ten dollars in our machine and ten dollars in our tip slot, we get all the money but if a customer asks I tell them I don't get what goes in the machine. Then they feel bad and give me more lol!

i think it depends a lot on the guy and what attitude he's got, plus the club and the area it's in.

as long as you don't whine about it, i don't think it's all that bad to mention it. the customers who hold on most dearly to the wild party girl fantasy are usually the ones who expect you to make out with them for a dollar at the tip rail. so i don't like those guys anyways.

If they ask, hell yeah. Maybe you'll get more tips. At times even if I've made a few hundred or more off a guy I'll ask if they can pay my house fees. All they can say is No. You can still act horny and engage them in fantasy world but they are not oblivious to the fact that it is also a business.

I say if a girl is silly enough to let customers get away with it she can keep all their dollars.

To me sitting on laps should be prohibited. It's a total waste of time so my tip is if you don't want to sit on their lap:

Customer: Why don't you have a seat...

Dancer: If you'd like me to sit on your lap let's head on over to the V.I.P.

They don't always buy a dance or will pressure you to sit on their lap but it sends the message that if they are looking for a free sample they can watch my ass as I'm walking away.

I couldn't agree more. I don't talk business witht he guys (except to tell him how much the dance/room costs) When he asks me, I just avoid the question.

Him: "How much money do you make"
Me: "who cares? I want to go play with you. I don't want to talk business"

As for sitting down with a customer, I don't do it. Here are my two standard responses

Me: "come on baby. Let's go play on the couch"
Him: "Come sit with me first. Have a seat, let's talk"
Me: either "I'd rather talk naked. I want to get out of these clothes. Let's go to the couch and we will talk there"
OR (in a whisper) "Baby, I can't. I'm not wearing any panties. I'll stick to the seat"

hahahahah, thats a good one, i'm gonna use that
These days I like to count my money. I like to wash it delicately and iron it. Sometimes I dry it with some bounty to make it all nice and cuddly. I love my money... did I say that out loud?

I did when a customer either asked, got rude about buying a dance, or made a comment about making a lot of money. Many guys thought we were paid so I told them we weren't. Many times the same cheapos bought dances or tipped.

Because everyone thinks we make SOOOOO much money (much more than we make) I always let them know if they make any comment about money that we pay the house, not the other way around, and we only make what we get out there and make. So every dance counts and all tips are appreciated. They don't get it.
Any of the "how much do you make" get ignored or responded with "It's never appropriate to ask someone how much they make" or something along those lines. Why do they think they can ask us whatever? It's so rude.
Or when they say "you don't need my money, you probably make more than me anyway".. That type of thing annoys the hell out of me. They just act like they know everything!
Just have a good time and quit assuming you know everything and quit asking so many fucking questions!
They need to know we aren't payed by the club, therefore if they are watching, they need to pay up! This show ain't free!

I don't get it. I mostly always tell customers I have to pay to be there. And I make lots of money. Not every night, but obviously enough to make it worth it. If they are going to have to pay a $450 room fee for an hour, I think I can tell them I pay the club about $200 to walk in the door. I don't think its un-sexy to have a house fee? I do think its un-sexy to be all broke, but that's not what I do at all.

I think its good to let customers know. Its one thing to complain about needing money, your 11 kids, and your sickly aunt, I HATE a pity hustle. I don't see any harm in telling customers that we do pay money to work there. Some customers think we are paid by the club and we also get money from drinks and even keep ALL LD money and tips!!!! If a guys asks I will tell them that I pay a house fee and I pay a portion of all LD money to the club. I am sooo annoyed with guys who are like "You guys make tons of money" but they spend nothing. Its like they have a good excuse to be cheap because someone else will give us a ton of money. This has really helped guys fork up the money and buy me a drink, since we get a reduction off our housefee for every drink we sell. It doesn't really help sell any LD's but it can effectively get guys to give a tip or drink. As long as a dancer isn't bitchy or whiny, then I don't see the problem with GENTLY reminding the customers that we paid to get in just like they did.
