    Default Shit Face Drunk Comments

If someone is shit faced drunk, do you usually believe the things they are saying? Do you think people say the real truth or say what's really in their heart when they are totally drunk? Or do you think drunk comments ar just BS.

    Any opinions or experence?

I think the truth comes out but often times in the wrong words.

Drunks tend to say what they feel but it comes out as a bunch of BS. Take anything from a drunk's mouth with a grain of salt.

I have unfortuantely have had many experiences here. I tend to let my wall down and say what i really think. Half of the shit i would never say or answer sober. Ask a drunk man what he really thinks about you.....if you really really want to know.

same here. i told a lot of people exactly what i thought of em when i was drunk. kinda felt like an ass the next day, because i wasnt so drunk that i remembered what i had said.

also, i found it was easier to tell tony what it thought bout certain things when i was drunk.

I quit drinking months ago. i no longer tell the truth. lol

I think it depends on the person, if it's someone who talks a lot of shit normally then they will talk a lot more shit when they're drunk. If it's someone who's generally an honest person then I think there will be at least grain of truth in what they say but as jadelady said it can come out in the wrong words.

depends on who is saying it.

random person = ignore whatever they are saying
person I am friends with but not close with = listen but take with big grain of salt
person I love/am crazy close with = listen. i find they tend to simply not filter stuff vs. make shit up, so sometimes brutal honesty is what comes out

I know for me. If I am shit faced...whatever I am saying is whatever I am feeling at that moment, for better or worse. However...just because I feel it that moment, doesnt mean I'll feel it when I'm sober. Generally just because I hit on you when I drunk, doesn't mean you have a chance with sober. If I don't like you, that feeling wont change much, lol.

Yah when i take clients out i very seldom drink much. Its like truth serum for a person in sales. We let the littlest things slip and it can mess up a sale. Drinking relaxes me and my inhibitions just seem to float away along with my brain.

The id (or inner five year old, as I like to say) speaks when the speaking is easy. The frontal lobe is compromised when intoxicated, so that which governs impulse control is diminished. Impulse control would extend to verbal expression. ;P

    AMEN!!

I mean, I don't pull too many punches sober, but when I am drunk, the gloves are off, and so are all the bets, lol.

I don't ever say anything I don't really mean, but I do tend to be more brutal and honest when drinking.

I agree with JadeLady, the truth tends to come out - but in the least tactful words possible. I RARELY ever drink. Once after a half a glass of wine I told my best fried that her car always smelled like my stripper bag. It was totally true - the smell of cheap perfumes, cigarettes, and money. I didn't give the details besides "stripper bag", but she knew exactly what I meant. I've known her for years, and a better thing to do (not influenced with alcohol) would have been to offer to help her clean her car out and get rid of the "odors".

    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

really depends on the drunk. there are all types of drunks... some are the philisophical drunks, some are the rowdy drunks, some are the emotional drunks, and some are the pee on your furniture drunks.

people who have a tendency to exaggerate or be dishonest in general will often have these qualities amplified when drunk.

but people who guard secrets but are too inhibited or closed when sober to tell them might open up when drunk.

so yea, it depends on the personality and where the inhibitions lie. if people inhibit their tendency to lie when they are sober, then the lack of inhibitions when drunk will amplify their tendency to be decietful... and will often make them boldly dishonest. and if people inhibit their honesty when sober then the lack of inhibitions will make them bolder in telling the truth and their feelings.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.
