    Default Dayshift in Austin

Hey, can any of you ATX ladies give me some feedback on dayshift in Austin? I have decided to keep my ATX place in addition to my NOLA place for social reasons... so when i am in ATX i want my nights free. I realize i probably wont be able to be the princess i normally am when it comes to my money dayshift in austin, but thats fine im not strapped for cash, i just want a wee bit extra (ok more than a wee bit).

Ive never worked a dayshift in my life. Im not very confident in my abilities to make good money considering from what i hear dayshift is slower and there are no CRs. if there were CRs i wouldnt worry because i would just make it my goal to sell one then leave, but without them im a bit intimidated.

i was thinking palazzio? It seems like a good location for dayshift. i went in there tues night as a customer and had a blast, and there was a sizeable crowd. anyone know about days here? and the other clubs. is there one that gets a lot of customers going to and from the airport (i know in CLE, the best dayshift clubs were close to the airport).

Yea, im debating between doing the occasional dayshift there or getting my pedi-cab license and doing that during the day. i would prefer to do the pedicab thing (it sounds like a fun way to make a bit of extra cash while getting a workout) but getting the license also sounds like a real pain in the ass. So any advice on dayshifts in austin would be awesome. Thanks ladies!
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

i don't have much positive to say about the palazio but dayshift there should be decent, i imagine.

regarding working dayshift, it may take a bit to adjust to days but the upside to dayshift is customers come in alone and they are typically there to get dances and leave.

yea i imagine the clientelle would be good. i just feel like hte lack of CR is a huge detriment in a slow club setting. if there were some, it would be easy... lonely guy comes in for fun, sell a half hr to an hr easily and maybe have him buy naked lunch for both of you in the CR, then boom onto the next. I guess im not as good at selling my time or making big bucks off of one guy without the crutch of a cr.

did you used to work there?

A gal I know worked years ago day shift at YellowRose and she said it was great ... great meaning $300 on a regular basis. Keep in mind this was years ago so I don't know what it's like now.

I've been trying to find out this info myself (what club has a good day shift) as I plan to make my way to Austin but haven't had any luck yet. Do you know any girls working at Rick's? That's where I have my job already secured but I plan to start off w/ 6pm to closing and then inquire about day shift.

Ricks in Austin is not a good club. You'd do better at Yellow Rose, Sugar's, Perfect 10, Expose, or Pallazio. The better clubs being the first 3, but I hear Pallazio has been pretty good lately.

I've worked at most of these clubs during the day shift at some point or another- granted things got shitty, and I quit going in all together. But, at the rose, or sugars, 3 or so years ago, it was decent money. Almost never less than $400, and usually more than $500. I haven't danced in a year come May, but during that last year I danced, things got tough. Though still never less than $200 on a dayshift.

Do you mean Rick's is not good in the day or it's not good at all? Here in Vegas I've talked w/ a couple of dancers that know people in Austin and they said Rick's is doing good ... although that's customers point of view, not dancers.

I actually like working nights but am curious IF there is a steady good day shift in Austin. If I can manage to switch my vampire sleeping hours I could really have a life ... work days ... and enjoy my days off doing something fun outdoors. BTW ... the day shift hours I'm looking for is starting around 3pm and working no later than midnight ... honestly don't think I can manage to get to work earlier than 3pm.

Yeah, Ricks here is no good. You're better of at one of the other clubs I mentioned. Most clubs, if you tip well, and are nice to the managers, you can pretty much come and go as you please. But, I do know there is a mid shift at several clubs, which IIRC is 4- midnight.

Bummer ... was hoping Rick's would at least be good at night.

Sorry, one more question ... what is IIRC?

    I really appreciate your help!

If I recall correctly. No, Rick's is a shithole. I'm really not even sure it's open anymore. The others you should stay far away from are XTC, and Pink Monkey.

Oh, and, you're welcome. Feel free to PM me if you need more info.

Rick's bought out Joy Of Austin in Round Rock Dec'09 ... it's a gentlemen's club. Rick's is a national chain based out of Houston and known for being an upscale club. They bought out Score's here in Vegas July'08. Is/Was there another Rick's and that place is a shithole?

No. It's the correct Rick's. It's just they put it in the shittiest location they could have (an area already known for scummy drug dealer/ addict types, and blue collar workers, and completely out in the middle of nowhere), and it all went downhill from there.

No need to apologize, i was also curious about ricks.

there are two ricks locations in austin though if im not mistaken? Im a bit dissapointed, i thought ricks would bring champagne rooms here, but i was wrong. i have also only heard negative things bout them. plus i think i mgiht have heard 5$ dances take place there? ugh.

sry for the typos. i am very hammered right now.

I think you're referring to the old Rick's that's now Onyx. Yes, that's in a bad area ... they told me that on the phone. The new Rick's in close to Perfect10 ... which leads me to believe it's in an ok neighborhood.

I wish I was there to check it out. Now I'm curious as all hell what the new Rick's looks like. It's challenging researching on the internet and via the telephone to the club ... but it's all I got to work w/.

    Cool!

So my head was spinning and I didn't get it straight till now. The old Rick's is now Onyx. The new Rick's use to be Joy Of Austin.

If you have a chance to check out the new Rick's ... 3105 S IH 35, Round Rock, TX 78664 (512) 218-8012 ... see the hiring manager Natalie. She usually starts work at 6pm and she's super nice! I would think they'd have CR's just like they do in Vegas but of course that's just my assumption. I know they open at 11am because Natalie asked me what shift I want to work. And you only have to work 5 hours ... if that makes a difference for you. Oh, I forgot to ask about dances ... my bad, again I assumed it's $20 ... I'll call and find out. If you want I can PM you the info I find out ... just let me know.

I called Perfect10 but the hiring manager was busy. The gal on the phone said I shouldn't have a problem getting hired ... but one never knows. I also called YellowRose ... the manager was super cool but wanted a pic ... he gave me his email but I've yet to get a pic together ... total procrastination on my part.

Anyway ... from what I've been told by a businessman in Austin (a friend of a businessman I know back home) there is NO recession ... and if there is it's definitely not like the rest of the country is experiencing. Of course this makes me even more intrigued about Austin.

Well one of these days I'll find out what it's like in Austin. I was hoping to check it out this month but I'm not feeling it for April ... best I stay put and maybe try early May. Although I have a family thing early July which is messing w/ my stripper life ... LOL. I don't mind risking $$ for a working vacation BUT I have to be prepared not to make any money. I don't think it's wise financially for me to do a risky working vacation and then do the family thing. Dam compromises! But the more Austin comes up in my life and now on SW, the more I'm anxious to check it out!

This is bullshit. People are pulling your leg. The recession has hit here. People have been laid off and can't find new jobs, living off unemployment. Overbuilding has finally cause property values to go down. Businesses are shutting down. This directly affects strippers, ask a local working stripper, not a manager with an agenda.

There are no CR in Austin, not even for Ricks. Well there is VIP/CR, but its really just another place for custies to sit if they pay for it. If a time-based price is to be agreed upon, it is entirely up to the dancer to sell it, and most custies won't go for it because they have more leverage at $20 a dance.

Also, Joy, now Ricks, has never had a great reputation. Perhaps that is changed now. But local guys know it as the place to get cheap extras because the girls aren't that hot. And I've worked for 2 different Rick's clubs before, just because they are corporate doesn't mean they won't turn a blind eye to extras. But this is only my conjecture, it might be worth it. Actually, I wouldn't mind checking it out as a custy one day. ATHENA, wanna go?

Austin isn't that great. Your friend and the management are blowing smoke up your ass because they want fresh new girls. Listen to the locals, ok? Thanks!

Sorry for being so mean, nothing personal.

Re Adventure baby: Yea i second what KS wrote, if you read my post or my other posts on this forum, you will notice that i actually do not work in Austin at all right now. I travel to work... the only reason why i have a house in this city is because i have some good friends down here. that and i met a boy, and considering how high my standards are when it comes to dating, i decided it was worth sticking around part time to get to know him better. However, i would NOT choose this as a city to move to to work.

the recession hit austin later and less hard than the rest of hte states, but the strip clubs arent doing so great. i have only worked 3 nights in austin, all 3 at the yellow rose, but it was overstaffed and a lot of 2 way contact. The lack of a champagne room really caps your earning potential... if you are cool with making between 2-500 a night then i guess its alright, but im not ok with those averages. a while ago i would have been, but since i am really awesome at selling champagne rooms and can make 500+ per room that i sell, going home after a night with only 3 or 400 dollars after making a lot of individual sales is a dissapointment.

and make no mistake about it, there were more girls than customers for a lot of the time.

haha now that you make it sound so appealing...

i do for real still want to hit up La Bare though .

its a cool city, but as far as the earnings go, i dont know why there is such a fuss made abotu it on here. it makes me wonder what girls make back in their home towns... for me a 500$ night doesnt count as banking...

I third what KS wrote. I live here and don't even bother to dance here cause it's just not worth it IMO. I guess it's worth it if you like a couple hundred bucks a night or so. Bleh. You have good days ($500 plus) and bad days (owing house fees at the end of night), but in the end Austin is not all that.

Yes, the old Rick's is now Onyx. Onyx will probably do good in that location if you are into that type of club. The new Rick's in RR will probably do better than Joy's did in that location IMO. Give it time though.

I would think the best day shift would be P10 or Yellow Rose. I would go to Yellow Rose first for day shift. However, I wouldn't recommend so much for night shift.

Wow, sounds like Vegas ... feast or famine ... more dancers than custys ... recession ... sigh.

I'm still gonna check it out in Austin ... one of these days ... and get my question answered what it's like there. The upside is I'm gonna stay at a friend's house, so that helps my expenses. And it seems there's a bit more options of clubs to work at there than where I'm at. One week is worth the risk ... and if anything I'll at least have fun kayaking on the Colorado river

Kayaking, rafting, and tubing is great down here. Check out the Guadalupe, Blanco, San Marcos, and Frio rivers as well!

The Colorado river is damned all through out Texas and makes for spectacular lakes too.

I'm not trying to scare you off of coming down here or anything. I've also worked Vegas, and the girls down here arenot quite like the aggressive hyenas up there, lol.

Oh yeah, to add, dances are $20.

"5 hour minimum" isn't really that accurate either. There are usually so many girls, that if someone wants to leave early, a manager will almost always cut them out then, with little to no objection. In fact, the only time I didn't go home when I wanted to go early was because a DJ or manager would encourage me to stay a little longer and try, but they always said that I could go whenever I wanted.
