I've been at this club for 2 months. The parking is ONLY valet but I park all the way in the back ... almost to the sidewalk ... no one ever parks near me because there's ample parking ... and I get to the club before the valet is even there! Well after 2 months of working at this club one of the valet guys asked me tonight if that was my vehicle in the back. I said yes. He TOLD me it's valet only and it cost $5. I proceeded to explain why I no longer valet my vehicle where ever I work ... long story short, this is my 2nd new vehicle in 3 years and both vehicles were damaged by valets at work ... and neither valet took responsibility for the damage so I had to eat it! This valet guy didn't give a fucking rats ass and TOLD me again, it's valet only. So my option is ... I can park my vehicle and leave my keys w/ the valet ... for $5. WHY THE FUCK SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY $5 FOR THE VALET WHO DOES NOT PARK MY VEHICLE, NOR WALK ME TO MY VEHICLE WHEN I'M FINISHED WORK TO HOLD ON TO MY KEYS?! BTW, he's not always at the box where all the keys are held and anyone can open the box and take what ever keys they want. I'm NOT leaving my keys there! It's $200 to replace my keys! And you think they're gonna pay if my keys are missing? I doubt it.
I was at work for 9 hours and I was exhausted so I didn't want to talk to the main manager about this on a busy Saturday night ... so I went home. Now here I am venting and I'm FUCKING IRRITATED AS ALL HELL!
I'm not sure what to do. The next time I'm working the manager on duty is the guy who hired me ... I looked at the schedule before I left work. I'm seriously thinking about talking to him about this ... well I have to because I have no where else to park ... sigh.
BTW, I don't have a problem paying someone that is doing something for me. I'm not a cheap ass. Hell, I even tipped a dancer $50 that helped me get a $400 VIP w/ her. Now tell me, what dancer tips another dancer out of her own pocket? This gal was shocked I even offered and didn't want to take the money but I made her ... I told her it's out of appreciation and it's the right thing to do.
I feel like this valet guy is trying to strong arm me. It's not the $5 that's the issue ... it's the principle of the situation ... where I park is the farthest in the back of the parking lot and no one is ever parked near me. What's the big fucking deal of letting me park my already valet damage vehicle?!
Tell me if I'm being unreasonable?
