    Default HPV a Concern?

The HPV virus can be spread by skin to skin contact. How common are genital or HPV warts?

Sorry I missed church. I was too busy practicing witchcraft and becoming a lesbian.

HPV is so common, some don't even consider it an STD anymore. There are many strains, some of which can cause outbreaks (warts), but the majority of the strains don't. For a woman, you can naturally get rid of this (sometimes) by quitting smoking (if you already smoke), your body will flush it out once you quit; smoking disrupts your immune system leaving you susceptible to contracting the virus and/or the virus progressing to cervical cancer. When you quit smoking, your immune system balances back out and functions properly, which can aid in flushing out viral infections like this (sometimes).

If you're rubbing your bare genitals against a dancer's bare genitals during a lap dance, you deserve to get warts and so does she.

That's why I was like... why is this posted here? But yeah, agreed. If you are pulling your penis out during a dance I hope it gets eaten up by warts.

I assumed he was asking about lapdances because it's been asked before. But it's pretty much common sense that you're not going to get a SEXUAL disease with your pants on, sooooo...?

Or do you mean how common in general? Like the general population. If that's what you mean, I believe it's 1 in 3 people. All the more reason to not pull your penis out in public.

And knowing is half the battle! GI JOOOEEEEEEE!!!!!

This is correct. Incidentally, I was diagnosed with HPV but the doctor said not all strains are even sexually transmitted. Mine never caused warts and I had it removed (LEEP). Hasn't returned since. I've never been promiscuous.

I have bad vibes about this thread. I think it's leaning a way that isn't cool. Basically implying that dancers are sleazy and disease ridden.

^^ Yes that's exactly what I was thinking hence my sarcasm towards the poster.

I had a good friend in high school that came down with chlamydia and warts from the guy that took her virginity. He cheated on her.

Most of the people I know who got STD's got them from monogamous (or so they thought in many cases) relationships. I know a woman who got herpes from her husband (who apparently cheated, unknown to her).

Yep. It was sooo sad she didn't have a clue until years later that he cheated. Even after he gave her two diseases, which he had but didn't get the uncomfortable symptoms unlike her, he still denied cheating.

This is also a guy that would blatantly stand her up, say abusive things etc. Oh and his excuse for cheating was... he was high (on pot). Like... wtf? Anyway I guess I'm threadjacking...

Yes, roommate in college who was a virgin got herpes from naked dry humping with her boyfriend, she thought he was a virgin too but he cheated on her in cancun. Meanwhile I can't count how many guys I've fucked and clean as a whistle

Well maybe a whistle that had HPV before. I had some growths caused by HPV like scraped out of my vaginal canal very painfully, perhaps LEEP idk, like several years ago and now don't test positive for it either. Apparently 80% of women have/had it, so its absolutely more common to have it than not even.

So the bottom line is.... Be careful but no matter what, no one is free of the chances of getting something when engaging in sexual activities.
Virgins can get an STD the first time they have sex.. And someone who's had 100 partners could get lucky and have nothing! (or that they know of!)

Regardless, none of this should be an issue in the club..

Ya I really don't count HPV as a serious STD. Almost anyone who is sexually active will get some strain of it at some point or another. I had a strain that doesn't cause warts but came up in a PAP test. They just re-tested 6 months later and it was gone. That was maybe 5 years ago and I never had anything come up since. Apparently the strain that causes warts is the least dangerous one though. It's the other strains that cause cervical cancer. Im mega paranoid about STDs though especially since I am pretty sexually active but I get tested all the time and ask tons and tons of questions when I go.

To the OP... If your pants are on in the SC then you can't get HPV... simple.

To the other girls who mentioned herpes. Not sure if people are aware but you can get genital herpes from someone with cold sores going down on you. They do not have to have an active cold sore. The virus can shed anytime. Now it is then HSV 1 that you would have down there and it doesn't want to live down there so people who get this probably have very few symptoms or might not even know that they have it. This happened to my friend. She freaked out at first thinking her BF had cheated on her cause she has only been with him, but when the test came back it was HSV 1 - so really it probably just came from his mouth.

I think something like 80% of the population has it.
I'm pretty sure you can't get it from a lapdance...at least not the ones I give.
