Default need to up the hustle!

I've been reading a lot of hustle posts and gathering pointers. At my first club I was more comfortable with a soft approach, most of the shows I sold were from the stage (I have good energy and eye contact). The club was situated so that guys could sit at the stage or fall back a ways to chairs around the perimeter of the club. It was easy for them to hide out against the wall.

I tried out a new club last night..there is hardly any seating..most of the seating is at the stage (it's not a really big place). The space and seating arrangement almost forces guys to sit at the stage or stand around looking lost or get a private show. One of the dancers told me this is to our advantage..no one can hide out against the wall they are either there for stage or private shows.

And I noticed unlike my previous club, the girls were a lot quicker and more aggressive about selling shows. My other club, the girls would wander up, chat maybe, if the customer refused they'd walk away. We were careful not to tread on toes .

The new club, when someone enters it's first come first serve..a dancer will immediately approach him and I'll be damned they'll go in for a show almost every time.

So..I'm not really comfortable with the aggressive approach but it's sink or swim and I want to swim.

Any pointers on upping my game and going for the fast sell instead of the chatty wait two or three songs soft approach I'm used to?

I gotta hand it to these girls they were GOOD

TELL them they NEED a dance. Don't give them the chance to say no. Don't ask big complicated questions that makes them use their brain, like, "Wanna dance?" - then he might actually consider whether or not he does want a dance.

"You need a dance, let's go." - go for it. Smile wide. And if he says no? Walk off, he said no and there's other men to sell dances to.
Get the fuck off my harbl, yo'.

The only club I ever used the "wanna dance" line at was a club in San Francisco like that... no seating except at the stage and a TINY place which always packed out so there were tons of guys standing. Your dancer friend is right, not having extra seats plays to your advantage because sometimes the guys just want to sit down.

With that said, be physically flirtatious with them right away - get in close and use intense eye contact. Then you can use a line like "There's private seating in the VIP area if you'd like to join me for a show"... bat the eye lashes and he'll usually go for it.
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

I was like yourself catseyes ... not comfortable w/ the aggressive approach but now that my home is Vegas I seriously had to up my game. Aggressive dancers is an understatement here. Dancers get the custys as soon as they walk in the door! WOW!

How did I get aggressive? I just HAD to do it! Sink or swim is right girl! I implemented the TELL the custy like sxcbbw mentioned and it's made a difference! Of course it doesn't work all the time but it's definitely made a difference on getting dances more consistently.

*Sometimes* if the custy says no I don't take their first no. I've gotten so aggressive as to get up on the custy's lap and TELL the guy ... I'M DANCING FOR YOU NOW ... giggle giggle smile shake my boobs in his face ... and the custy succumbs to a dance

WISH my club was wanna dance!! I'm also not very aggressive, and it's tough, but I just keep saying"just do it!" the worst that will happen is they say no..which is the same option if you don't ask at all! I definitely need better lines for asking though!

I owe you guys dinner..or show up at my club and I'll tip you like mad

I did just what you suggested..haha funny cuz despite my stripping I'm a shy salesperson. But I stepped into sales role with a kick of aggression..walked up to the first guy who walked thru the door..and said "there you are, baby, sorry I didn't see you come in the door right away, I was getting ready for our private show. I have the next half hour available for you"

And I'll be damned he booked me for the next half hour.

Last night was my second night at this club and I walked out with almost $500. On a Wednesday.

I love you guys..not ready for Vegas yet but hustler in training

and YES i LOVE these small no seating clubs too. I used to dream of working in a large well lit large stage lavish showroom with huge mirrors in the dressing room but it's too easy for the guys to sit back and watch.

Dang girl ... you out did me on the aggressive technique ... WAY TO GO!

So you wondered how the other dancers at your new club gets the custy at the door ... well you got your answer and more importantly YOUR SALES PITCH.

You're totally ready for Vegas now ... not that I'm saying come here because it's horrid. I wanna come to your club ... LOL.

Keep your hustle going girl! YOU'RE DOING AWESOME!

Don't take no for an answer. And yes as SXCBBW said tell them they need a dance.

The other pointer is to focus on the V.I.P. when they start to change the subject bring it back to doing a dance. Ignore most of what they say if it has nothing to do with a V.I.P.

I've been doing well lately with customers telling me "no" several times and they end up in V.I.P. with moi.

Hehe ... Survivor night ... hey, you deserve a night off!

Honey I don't think it's just a one night thing, new girl, new face. The difference is you implemented your aggressive technique and BANG you got it! Just goes to show all you gotta do is get em' at the door and use your sweet charm and your NEW TECHNIQUE

I understand about keeping your location on the DL. I wonder sometimes if I should even mention I'm in Vegas ... LOL. Gonna send you a PM now

Re: the NO. Sometimes a no means a no. Sometimes the custy just needs to be dragged to where he's going to GET the dance ... LOL. It's a fine line. All I do is keep trying. Eventually I figure out if a no is a no, or if I'm able to turn a no into a yes. Other times I just have to decide how much effort I want to put into changing a no into a yes ... personally, some custys aren't worth my effort ... and of course some are. Not sure if this is any help but it's what I'm doing.

Wow, this thread totally inspired me to up my game and be more aggressive, which is easy to lose sight of in my club since most of the girls are pretty tame. Thanks, OP!

There's a great basketball quote you may want to remember whenever you're feeling 'off' your game:

"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"

So just remember to Always Be Closing and ask EVERYONE, because you never know.

Some of my best nights happen with new customers who I hadn't taken the time to stake out and size up. I had no idea what I'd say when I approached them and I cannot recall exactly WHAT I said to them. But, in approaching, I made the sale.

Yes, your job is to entertain. Yet, most guys know that they will hear and or say random things in the club environment and risk looking awkward. They, in turn, give more leeway than you think they will on how awkward you can be and get away with it.

Sometimes the lack of polish in a particular instance is endearing. So don't over-think too much.

Visualize (if you've watched any nail-biting sports game or even just saw a quick clip of one here and there). You know those last second three-point shots in a basketball game or that last minute touchdown?

There are plenty of times where those efforts are in vain. But the times they do sink in or score a goal can mean the difference between Super Bowl/ Final Four (etc) or going home one (or six) points shy of a ring/cup. ;P

Just do it (Like one of the posters above mentioned)!

***Also wanted to add, don't worry about being rejected. There were many nights in my early years of dancing where too many 'no's ' in a row would send me up to the dressing room indefinitely or calling it quits before the club closed. After a while, the 'sting' stops having an effect as soon as you start getting that first yes and keep up the momentum of the yeses.

Every now and then, yes, I still get a bit self-conscious if it seems like NO ONE wants to buy a dance from me. However, too many of those twilight zone-seeming nights have completely done a 180 when I just kept at it---and realized "I" noticed the sales rejections more than other guys or dancers did.

Oh it's the typical "not right now" bullshit.

Just the other night I sat with a customer who said he just wanted to watch more than four or five times trying to shoo me away a little. I kept changing the subject to other things (not the VIP this time) and looked at him like he was full of it every time he said "I just want to watch."

Eventually he started asking about VIP's and said "Okay but just one."

    Yeah right.

Not a huge spender but we went from "not now" to five dances.
