    Default Glasses O_O

Are glasses a no no when you're dancing? I wear glasses and have some pretty cute frames that look very good on me, but I wasn't sure if I should get contacts (which I've never worn) before beginning to dance or not. I surely wouldn't be able to see much away from the stage if I didn't wear anything.

I want to get contacts eventually either way but don't think I could swing the expense right now unless I really needed to. Couldn't find any other threads on this topic.

    Thanks!

I would probably just wear them lol. Maybe have your first outfit be a secretary or something like that. So it goes with the whole image.

And as far as contacts (if you know your prescription from your glasses) then I'd get 'Circle Lenses' they have a bunch that make your eyes look bigger (lots of colors- blue, brown, green, grey, etc.) or more "natural" looking ones. They come from Korea and are only $24.99 INCLUDING shipping on the site I found. It's a pretty cheap alternative to contacts you would get from your Optometrist, since you won't be paying for an appointment or the contacts there (Mine run $100). And the Circle Lenses last up to 1 year.

Thanks, I didn't know about 'Circle Lenses'. The secretary thing is a good idea too!

Wear them. I did when i first started working, and you will get noticed for it, especially if no one else is wearing glasses. Just be careful about where your putting them, I broke mine during a lapdance lol!

A quick warning: when I danced with my glasses I found that often drunk asshole customers would try to grab them off my face, scaring me and ruining my mood. (This might be a Bourbon Street thing; maybe customers are more polite in your area.)

Start with glasses, then if they are too much of a hassle, go to a good eye doctor when you can afford to. No reputable contact lens retailer will sell you contacts with only an eyeglass prescription. You need to have your eyes measured. If you have astigmatism, you might need toric lenses. Trying to wear contacts from a sketchy source that don't fit your eyes sounds like a really bad idea.

One more note- it might help to heat and bend the sides of your glasses so they fit more snugly around your head. You don't want to risk having your glasses fly off during your set.

    Good luck!

LOL oh man that would SUCK!

Well cool I don't feel so self conscious about wearing them to work now. I need to get them tightened a bit though. Don't know how sexy it would be to have to keep pushing them back up my nose all of the time. Although I suppose I could make it sexy

I used to wear glasses when I first started dancing(I also had braces haha) and I would bank. Guys loved it. I used to play up the sexy school girl with pig tails and stockings.

I always wore glasses when I was dancing. I was so used to them, that I was kind of awkward without them, but even money and appeal-wise, guys either commented on the "innocent" look or how I looked like a young hot school teacher. I just had your average thick black rimmed specs.

I wear mine to work and I've always been fine! Never had em fly off me on the stage or anything, and I've had a lot of guys really like them. I've had guys before say 'I like you because of your glasses' lol! And so many guys are turned on by the whole 'you look like a sexy school teacher, I freaking love those naughty glasses!'. I've actually had people ask me if they're just a sexy stage prop, I'm like 'nope I really am blind!'

I say wear them. You would be shocked how many men AND women have glasses fetishes. Fetish customers tend to spend ALOT also. I wear mine with my school girl and nurse costume and always bank. I even had a guy one time spend a whole hour and 1/2 with me simply because he loved the glasses. It gets alot of tips.

Guys make more passes to girls who wear glasses.

    XOXO

I don't own any contacts, but really really really want the circle lenses.

I have to wear my glasses all the time, otherwise I can't see. I have only had 1 experience where they were a problem, and even then I talked to the manager about it and it turned out alright in the end.

WTF? That is the most fucked up rule i've ever heard. Hell I wore mine when I was featuring and clubs never said anything. I can't see how they can say no glasses. Some clubs are seriously messed.

May I ask what the experience was?

At my club, we have a girl who wears glasses and she's one of the high earners. She doesnt dress up as a school girl or anything but, her personallity stands out b/c she acts outgoing, happy, and the girl next door type. When she was on stage, she didnt seem to have a problem at all.

I had to wear glasses for a month and I got a lot of positive feedback. Use them as a prop. I licked them, deep throated them, ran them over my body and the customer's, etc. I always made sure to touch myself with one side and the customer with another so there would be no cross contamination. It's an instant conversation starter too if the customer has glasses--I usually make some four eyes joke, or if they're in front of their friends, I tell them that they need their glasses cleaned and rub them on my thong, but you have to make sure the vibe is right and get really campy to pull it off. I also kept my outfits simple so that the glasses would be the main focus. There are so many ways you can work it to your advantage.

The manager didn't want me to work there because I wore glasses. He said they "didn't work for me and wouldn't work with the clubs atmosphere". I don't remember exactly what I said in reply, but said something to the extent of "that's bullshit. You don't have any other dancers wearing glasses-you could use a girl who wears them. I am a top seller in clubs where I work-as you will see after a week. Plus, looks are only part of the equation when dancers hustle, and I know how to sell no matter what." Or something like that. I got hired, but didn't work there longer than 6 shifts.

I love to wear mine when I dance. I get a ton of compliments and add it to my hustle. You may want to consider getting a few pairs of contacts once you start making money though. Having more than one look will hook you extra regulars (guys who may not have noticed you in glasses, will like your face without and then just come back to you wither way.... I've actually had that happen). Also, sometimes wondering where your glasses are/continually checking to see if they're on your face/etc. can be nerve wracking.

    So... I have both
