    Default Rejection?(Should I go back?!)

Ok so I drive ab an hour to a no contact club. It's where I first started dancing so I've never experienced any other clubs for the past year and a half. The manager at my club doesn't want me to leave and says he needs me on the weekends bc I'm one of his best girls. Last week I went to audition at a closer club. (advertises as a gown club, but I saw lots of 2-pieces and some lingerie) They normally hold auditions on Thursday's (for the manager and house mom), but bc of a scheduling conflict I asked if, and was told I could audition on Fri night. When I got there on friday (about 10:30 pm)I was brought down to the dressing room to see the house mom. I was wearing full stripper hair and makeup, black leggings and a casual top. When I sat down the house mom told me I was "gorgeous" and didn't even need to undress bc she could tell I had a great body. She asked if I had any stretch marks or scars, and when I said no said "ok, I just had to make sure." She seemed really excited and said "yea I really want you", checked out my id, wrote my name and number down with 3 stars next to it (told me that the stars were for face, body, and personality). She then went through house fees, tip out, vip booth fees, etc. I noticed that when she wrote my info down it was on a paper with a list of girls who she told me had auditioned the day before, but assured me that she was putting my name before some of thiers bc she was so impressed. Then she asked what time would be good for her to call me so we could figure out a schedule "as soon as possible." I didn't meet with a manager, didn't get undressed, and didn't dance. The next day, no call. After a few days I called the club and spoke with a receptionist and told her that I was expecting a call about getting hired. She said "the manager already picked the girls he wanted so if you didn'y get a call you can come back in 3 MONTHS"?!

My question is: Should I wait 3 months, or go back in on a Thursday (normal audition day) 8:00pm and actually audition for a manager (since none saw me) ? Is that too pushy/obnoxious? And WTF is up with all the feedback from the housemom? was she lying? She seemed really genuine and impressed No idea what to do

If you really want to work there, go back and audition for a manager. Maybe the house mom didn't turn in your information. If they recognize you just tell them what happened and that you really want to work there.

That entire housemom situation is the strangest thing I've ever heard. If you REALLY want to work there then go back when the HIRING MANAGER is there. I just find the entire situation odd/unprofessional ... not sure if it's worth working at a club like that. Go w/ what your gut instincts tell you. Good Luck!

I would be wary of the management, but would go back and speak the hiring manager. If you get hired, I would watch out for the management until you get the feel of the place. In this industry, you can rarely take things as they seem.

Go back in and audition. Let management see you for themselves. As for the house mom, she may have tried to get you in, but if any of the girls on the list had connections with management or great referals from dancers that work there already, then you may have been pushed to the end of the list. Sometimes its not how you look/act/dress. Its about who you know. Good luck and get back in there!

Thanks ladies! I'm gonna go back tomorrow during regular audition hours. I will admit I'm really nervous now bc I have no idea what's really going on,(I keep imagining myself getting turned away at the door or something really emabarrasing like that) lol but I will try to look my best a stay positive. I will let you all know how it goes. Thanks again for the encouragement!

I think I'd stay at your current club. Why bother with inefficient staffing/management when you have a club that treats you well and you are appreciated?
    Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Sounds fishy. You should be seen by managment. And when you go in ..don't even go into the whole story about the house mom. Just mentioned.."oh yes, I stopped by and met the house mom, but I wanted to introduce myself to the manager." Just act like you thought that this is how it works.

Perhaps she was expecting a tip just for even interviewing you?? That would be fishy!!!

Best of luck to you!! xoxoxoo
