I remember long ago someone told me that Alaska was decent money-wise. That was so so long ago. I am just curious and wondering have any of you worked in alaska and how was it?

I have not been. My co-wokers who travel there tell me the best time is in the summers

I guess that would make sense with the weather and all huh![]()

This is the big one there: http://www.akbushcompany.com/
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

The best time to go is definitely in the summer.
Bush is the biggest, but there's no pole. Fantasies is pretty good and there's also a few smaller clubs.

Most of the residents are back in May and leave around November. So yes, summer is best but October is the time to go. Palin approved a bill that provides huge checks to residents that stick around for the winter time. The checks are issued to EVERY resident (parents even get checks for their children) in October. That means everyone has an extra $3000+ to burn in their pockets.
I have heard that the economy has been hitting Alaska hard and those that have booked features have stopped. Although their busy season has begun and biz is picking up.
I would stay clear of Alaskan Bush Co. The club has been handed down generation after generation and they are now on the generation that doesn't seem to hold the values as the great grandpa did. According to locals, the club is getting run down, not up dated, getting full of drugs and prostitution.
There are many clubs in Anchorage (the only city I would dance in). My favorite is Fantasies on 5th. It doesn't have the tourist traffic that ABC does, but locals love the place. I was there this time last year and I had a blast! It truly was the best feature trip I ever made! Beautiful sightseeing, great club, great dancers and staff, cool custies and of course- great $!
Bush Co. is extremely picky and they turn down a lot of otherwise beautiful girls.
I worked at SinRock for the month of June and hated it. The club had the weirdest requirements (every girl comes in at 7 pm when they open, and have to stay all night until the club closes at 3 or 4... not okay) also the manager was seedy as fuck, they hold onto all your money and give you back what you earned after THEY took out your house fee (which was outrageous) and tipout.. it was easy to sell dances, but not really worth it for me. A lot of the girls were super young since it's an 18+ no alcohol club and they really didn't know how to sell dances or talk to customers. I would never work there again because it's ran so poorly and sketchy, but i'm planning on going back to Anchorage in July or August this summer to work at Fantasies or ABCo because I made good money and Phoenix is dead as hell in the summer.
This thread is quite old...
But since we're talking about Alaska, am I the only one who didn't realize how freakin' huge Alaska was until I checked it out on Google Maps recently?
