    Default Online & Other Advertising

So I went last week and got licensed for private striptease. I'm trying to primarily market to high end clients. Thus far I've:

    - Invested into Google AdWords... a week later they have yet to okay my keywords. I've done AdWords before and everything was always verified right away, so I'm a bit irritated.

    - Set-up my local business listing on Google maps & received reviews. I've also asked clients to put reviews on TER, but of course almost a week later and they still aren't showing.

    - I've called all the high end hotels about in-room advertising. It's a great idea, but I know I'm going to have to shell out about $600 for it.

    - Found two limo companies and a bakery willing to give out my business cards.

    - Contacted every taxi company servicing the airport about advertising... no luck from the corporate level. I may try going out and contacting driver's personally who will probably be thrilled at the prospect of extra income.

    - Set up an ads with Black Label to show on regional pages. It's $1.50 per impression (versus click). So far I've had 14 impressions and I've never seen them when I go to the website I selected to advertise on.

    - Paid the $10 craigslist fee, which I got a few bookings on - but primarily it was a lot of e-mail tag.

I'm thinking about forking out the $65 for advertising on Eros. There's only two other girls in the "Dancers" section. I talked to the local police detective and he said that as long as I don't actually provide other services (and make that clear in my ad) I'm welcome to advertise on boards meant for other things. So really the question is, should I try Eros... or is there a better place to spend the advertising money?

I am not familiar with Ero's, but I have been doing a lot of marketing/networking for NinaNin on Facebook and Twitter with much sucsess. It is time consuming, but it works. It takes time, so keep going! Another place to try is the sex toy/condom shops. they might let you put your post cards in there. You can offer the clerks a referral fee and it will get them to spread the word. Good luck!

I was actually thinking about the local sex toy shops, maybe the swinger's clubs too. I'm in good with one of the shop owners that has multiple locations. I also know a ton of the local swingers (which are always throwing parties w/ entertainment) and an owner of one of the swingers clubs - so that's an option. The online advertising is really what I'm curious about though... what works, what doesn't.

Right now I am not concentrating on online advertising, but if I find anything out about it, I will let you know. Good luck!

That in room advertising is BRILLIANT....I think it's worth the $600.

Oh and sex shops will host your business cards for you. I know a girl that works on niteflirt and has her business cards in almost every sex shop in charlotte.

Unless you're looking to do more than just dance, I wouldn't suggest Eros. Most of the "Private dancers" on eros carolinas are escorts.. it's pretty obvious too lol

^^^ Yes, that's my concern with eros. The two girls that are listed as "dancers" are also listed as escorts. I'm already concerned with making sure that the gentlemen that I see are totally straight about the fact that I don't provide anything else, and I think you might be right that eros would lead to more gentlemen thinking that.

The $600 for in room advertising would be awesome... I need to call and see what the actual rates would be - but that's what I'm guessing it would be around PER MONTH. I could at least try it one month though and see if it's worth it.

Eros lets you list your self in many listing catergories which means you pay more money in your ad, when I list myself for Toronto I pay $47 US dollars. sometimes if I am listed in 2 more catergories other then just escort I pay $90, but I have noticed that being listing multiple on eros does not matter I still get the same amount of responses from it. but this month I got about 3 booking from it at $47 a month.

Just a quick update on this. I put the ad up on Eros. You ladies may remember that I said two other dancers were listed locally, but they were actually escorts? Well, when Eros listed my ad they pulled the other two ads down... so I had my own category! Now two new escorts are listed in the dancer category.
