Default what inspired you to choose stripping?

Probably a topic that's come up before (often) but I'm new..

I've had my college, career, etc..always been a performer. I've worked hard the last ten years at providing products for other performers and felt life was slipping away for me to get back into dance of some form.

At the suggestion of my brother I tried it and was hooked the first night. So long as the money is at least the same as it would be if I worked a day job, I'm remaining

Love the stage time, the hours, flexibility. Some down sides like any job ..

Love the women I am meeting..

I hope no one ever feels 'stuck' in stripping I hope you feel empowered to do anything you want to do even if that includes stripping

Someone else putting me in debt, I was naive and co-signed on something for a much older boyfriend who turned out to be a professional con artist. Looking back, it really wasn't that much ($5K), but when you are 18 it seems like a lot! I took the guy to court, he didn't show so the judgement defaulted to my side - but if the line of credit didn't get paid it would have messed up my credit. Thus I freaked out, started stripping and had the whole thing paid off in like a month and a half working just friday/saturday nights.

Strangely enough, I wanted to do it for a long time, but was too chicken shit to do it by myself. When I moved to Colorado, my sis talked to me into it. She didn't like it, but I kept up with it. :-) I work out hard to look good, and I was thinking to myself, "I should get paid to look this good!".

I also needed a super-flexible job that I could make decent money at, to help me out while I was going to University.

Same for me, just a different sort of debt. My ex-husband ran up mountainous credit card bills without my knowledge or consent just before we legally separated, but when he wouldn't / couldn't pay them the creditors then came looking for me since both of our names were on the account and we weren't yet legally divorced. The only available option that would provide enough income potential to make a major 'dent' in paying off these credit cards was dancing !

I got into it because I am a hairstylist during the week but don't work friday or sat. When my kids are at their dads I was bored....so stripping appealed to me. I used to dance before the kiddos, it makes me feel in control...and when I look in my safe, I smile at the stacks of money :-D

Yeah, mine was credit debt through Best Buy. The a-hole bought a super nice refrigerator, and a bunch of electronics.

I remember he'd just bought this house and took me out to lunch. Then did the "Sweetheart, did you notice anything missing in the house?". Stupid me thought that he was referring to a woman's touch or something. That's when he said a refrigerator. That should have been my clue. What guy in their 30's needs an 18 year old to co-sign on something for them? One that has no intention of paying off the debt! Duh! Lesson learned... I can't be totally pissy about it though - since it did lead me back to dancing after ballet was no longer a viable profession for me.

I've always been a dancer, even as a child. When I was in college I started hearing about "gentlemens club" and how you could make all this money by dancing. At the time I thought it was a setup where you get paid by the club and tipped heavy by customers. I was in debt in college so thought why not. Of course I later found out it was a little more complicated than that and that there would be terrible nights where I made little. I also learned that it wasn't as glamourous as I thought. Hower it was still a better job in college than some store or fast food restaurant.

Well I was always a bit "wild". I knew I was hot, guys were always hitting on me everywhere, I was comfortable being naked, liked to flirt.
Then I read Jenna Jamesons book and thats what first made me really think "hmm I could totally do that and be great!" Of course I was 16 or 17 and needed to wait until I was legal.
Then I didn't start until I was 19 and once I did I was in love.
Quit when I was pregnant, want to go back but my SO doesn't want me too .

Money for dental school ... which was for my family, not for me ... and they weren't paying for my education. My family was old school ... trade, stability, security ... no such thing as personal happiness w/ occupation/career ... so I was doing that for them. BUT ... the first time I set foot on stage I knew I was home Needless to say I didn't go back to school. I wasn't about to spend all that $$ for an education and then be in a career that I knew I wouldn't be happy doing long term ... stripping showed me that was my true feeling.

What I had dreamed of becoming was a Vegas Showgirl ... but maxing out at 5'2" I knew that was not gonna happen for this gal.

I've always enjoyed various forms of dancing growing up. Modern dance in college on stage in front of a live audience was soooooo awesome! And I've always been comfortable in my own skin ... ran around naked where ever when ever I could ... LOL. I was destined to be a STRIPPER
