Is anyone working for the convention this week in Vegas? The most recent thread was in 2004 and didn't look good. Just wondering how it was for anyone who worked in the most recent years. They are expecting over 90,000.

Yes, but it's only because I currently live here. IMHO we can't rely on convention season ... since AVN/CES you wouldn't know any other conventions have been happening. Not sure what club you usually work at, but if it's a club you're happy w/ and you can afford a work trip I'd say come on out ... just don't have any expectations $$.
I work at the Rhino. I usually go out once a month for a weekend, but I figured I'd try this week. I need a serious break from my club in LA anyway.

Its hard adjusting to that time. I do it once a month. I did really good Monday but super slow last night! And haven't met any convention guys. After 4 it seems everyone is too drunk, tired, and danced out.

nope and didn't last ear either I don't make money from to many artsy guys either typically they seem full of themselves the broadcasters do!But everybody has there own type so some women might I just go by what works for me, i used to work and fly to odessa texas( I know) and work at the gold club and bank completely different clientele, it is not like Vegas where u have to find one guy to get lucky, just 20 dollars dances, but let me tell u they add up especially since most of the guys have more than one

Fortunately I did NOT meet any broadcasters ... not into arrogant men. Actually I must be the odd duck out because since Jan I've had only 1 custy that was a conventioneer ... a man from Belgium for the concrete convention. My custys are usually white early 40's out-of-town businessmen ... my personal fav! Some are bachelor parties (only 1 was a local) and oddly enough periodically locals (thank goodness for gaming & they like to spend their winnings on strippers ... hehe). That's why when dancers are all hyped out about a convention I don't trip about it. I'm the weirdo stripper not making money from conventioneers ... LOL ... but I like it because I'm not convention dependent.
I've never heard anyone mention dancing in Odessa TX ... sounds like you did really well $$ there. I'm going to Austin TX ... not sure when but curious what it's like there. Would be nice to have somewhere else to work once in a while.
I agree w/ you ... at the right club w/ a particular clientele the $20 dances definitely add up! That's soooooo nice! Definitely not Vegas ... well it was a loooooong time ago where dancers could jump all over the club for $20's and the 3/$100 room was always packed ... unfortunately those days are long gone.

well the good thing about Austin is perfect 10 and the yellow rose , if you have a car u can drive to callas Huston and Odessa, if you are interested of course! Dallas try baby dolls and spearmint rhino! San Antonio there is the palace Huston I have no idea , maybe st jams es! pm me for more info if needed god luck![]()
How ironic you mention Baby Dolls ... a long time ago dancers from my home town moved to Dallas and worked there, so I went to check it out. I even went so far as to buy a house in Louiseville. Long story ... but due to divorce I sold my house and didn't settled down in Dallas.
My sister use to live in San Antonio ... she told me to check out that city but I've never heard any dancers mention working there so I didn't give it much thought.
I've always heard there's great money in Houston but after being on SW I've read it's the city notorious for extras ... yikes!
Austin appeals to me the most ... I've only heard positive things about that city, not dancing related. I love the fact I can kayak there ... that's a huge draw for me. Can't wait till I'm able to check out that city.
I'm gonna drop you a PM![]()
