On one hand, it seems like everyone thinks it's a bad idea because then customers know all our secrets.
On the other hand, maybe it's good to get a male opinion on some posts there?
Maybe if it's unanimous, a moderator could help us out a little.

Of course they shouldn't be able to read Hustle Hut. If you want their opinion they will cheerily share it in Customer Convo or in their subsection. I think our industry is affected by sharing far too much. It's good to share with each other but not with the audience. It's like a magician showing her techniques.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To me, SW is like the dressing room. I don't want female customers in the club, I don't want men here, and I don't want women on the 50 yard line. Some things should remain sacred.
Like......
Don't borrow my g-string (even if you promise to wash it)
Don't sleep with my ex, even if I swear that I'm over him
Don't copy my look, even if I tell you it's ok. (it isn't)
Don't borrow money from me ( If you need it- you don't have it to pay back)
Don't talk about other girls to me (cause I know you are doing the same about me behind my back)
Don't shit where you eat
How do I feel about men invading our personal space? Kinda like, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

I really don't see the problem with guys being able to READ Hustle Hut. Posting in that section would be another matter. I read Hustle Hut fairly regularly. It is just interesting reading to see how some of you ladies operate. Often I find it rather amusing to read. I don't believe that my reading of your hustle tips has ever effected my spending habits one way or another though.

I think I may have checked out the odd thread in Hustle Hut when I first came to this site. I didn't find it all that interesting to tell the truth. I don't read it at all these days.

...probably millions of men have read hustle hut for years, has it affected anyone here?

Any customer reading/posting on here is unlikely to have many illusions about a dancer's motivations anyway, so I doubt reading Hustle Hut is going to impact much on a dancer's earnings anyway (especially as >95% of strip club customers probably never visit Stripperweb).
But it's probably best if males are not allowed to post in Hustle Hut.
My personal estimate is that there's 65 - 70% good advice there, with about 10 - 20% of the suggestions likely to make the average customer run for the hills. (and yes - I know this doesn't total to 100%...)
In reality, I think much in Hustle Hut could be deduced from a good book on sales skills and adapted to stripping, so I don't think you're exactly giving away the tricks of the trade.
Phil.
I remember checking out HH a few times when I first joined SW; however, I agree with Phil in that the vast majority of "trade secrets" discussed were essentially the same sales tactics used in other industries. There was nothing of interest to me in HH so I stopped visiting the forum completely. Due to this thread, today was the first time in ages that I've taken a look in HH and my opinion hasn't changed. If HH suddenly disappeared from my forum options, I probably wouldn't even notice.
As far as male opinion in HH? Definitely not. This is a dancer support site first and foremost and should remain so. Every new male member should be able to recognize this when they sign up for the first time. If dancers want male opinion, there's already a designated forum in the basement for dancers to ask customers questions. This arrangement should suffice.

The key question is how often will a dancer-poster be in the position of trying to hustle a SW-reader-customer. I would say virtually 0% of the time this will happen. In all my years of patronage I've only once (knowingly) come across a SW dancer-poster in a club.
So I just don't think it's a problem that needs an answer.

I rarely read HH, only if a title on the main page catches my eye.
And remember, guys are dumb, just cause we know its a hustle, doesn't mean we aren't going to fall for it when you all bat those pretty big eyes, LOL.
I can do better than you in a two bit fancy house

Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.

Well, I'm in a distinct minority (having voted "not sure")...when I first came to SW in 2003, guys were able to post in the "Industry Discussions" sections that have since been segregated, including Hustle Hut. IMO, at the start this may have been fine and some of the male/non-dancer comments were helpful (or at least tolerable).
But, with the increased popularity and visibility of the site it's a good thing that those sections have been now branched off. Ideally, it would probably be better for these sections (and even the off-topic Ladies Only) to not be visible to male/non-dancer eyes...if the subject matter isn't meant for you, and you can't see it, one can't comment/complain about what's in there.

When I first found the site, I read it and was actually learning from it to become a better custy.![]()
Just one guy's opinion, but there is nothing in HH that is so earth-shatteringly secret that it would change the way customers relate to strippers. I hardly ever read it, to be honest.

I have to say maybe. To me, not all males are the same. For instance, a new stripper would probably learn a lot from a longtime club dj. While a dj isn't a dancer, he's often in the trenches so to speak. This could pertain to other male employees as well, along with male dancers. On the other hand I often resent how some customers think because they often go to clubs they know the industry like a dancer would. This is a pet peeve of mine in general, and have seen this problem on other boards. I used to work in radio, and I resented radio listeners giving their feedback because "they were listeners". Nope, being a listener is NOT the same thing as having worked in radio.

I agree that the average customer reading/posting here on SW would hardly be stunned by any of the suggestions mentioned in HH.
But if it ever does happen that HH is forbidden to customers, it should be based on dancer/customer status, not necessarily just gender. I boast a little pink ribbon, but as a customer I shouldn't be posting everywhere willy-nilly.
(I love the expression "willy-nilly". This thread gave me the opportunity to use it. Thank you OP!)

So I wouldn't have been able to read this: http://forum.stripperweb.com/showthread.php?t=140480
one of the all time best stories ever on SW.

I don't care. A good hustler can make $$$ off a guy even after talking to him about how she takes their money.

Yes. Some will try to counteract our measures however you cannot overthrow solid business practices.
So let them read and let them know we mean BUSINESS.
