Congats on the baby and you losing the weight.
First it does take time - genetics play a huge role as well.
Have you tried any creams for your tummy? Search around make sure to buy one that has "Collagen" in it, over time you will see results.
Also get back into a work type class, such as yoga or pilates, because it has heavy concentration on abdominal muscle. Plus it will tone you else where and its always good for the mind and body.
That is really the only things I know that truely help, remember to eat healthy as you always hear - the skin will go away but it takes time, and also your genetics play a role, look at your mother and ask her, yours will be close to her results. Sometimes as hard as you try and wait, sometimes there will always be some left.

Thank you. My son is worth all the weight gain!!
And as far as my moms goes and genetics..
Im fucked.
I'll have to look on the market for some good creams. I'm willing to pay top dollar for something good![]()

I sympathise with you because I have the same problem. I had a real flat belly before I had twins so I hate my loose belly. I lost all the 'baby' weight, and I weigh less now than before I got pregnant. I had my twins a year ago, and your skin will firm back up over time. I have not started any abdominal exercises or used any creams. Depending on how bad your stomach got 'stretched' will depend on how good it will go back to normal. It may never go back to normal. My belly looks ok when I am standing up, but it looks bad when I bend over. I will try exercise and creams and see how that works. It does look a lot better now than it did a few months ago, but I don't like it. The only fix may be a tummy tuck, but I don't know if that would be 'worth' going through because my tummy doesn't look horrible, I still hate it though and I don't feel comfortable showing it. I didn't have very much weight gain with my pregancy however (about 34 lbs) but my twins weighed 6 lbs each so I got pretty stretched!

Yeah. My belly looks pretty decent while standing up. But sitting its like this flap of skin. I used to have abs and now Im flabbymakes me so sad. And the damn stretch marks dont help either.

Ugh yeah. I totally feel for you. Time will give you more improvements, but who knows how great the improvements will be. I had very nice abs before as well, and looking at my belly makes me feel like crying. I totally sympathise with you. Yeah my babies were worth it, but you can't help but feel gross when you looked a certain way before you got pregnant. I've got stretch marks too, and it makes having a 'loose' belly even more painful. Sigh.

It totally makes me feel better knowing that I'm not the only one. I do often cry because of my belly. I had a friend that was preggers the same time I was and she gained 12 pounds, doesn't have a single strech mark, and has no saggy belly. I hate her![]()

Uggh I have this too and have been worrying about it. It's not terrible and I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there who don't care, but it bugs me knowing what my tummy looked like before having a baby.
I've got little stretch marks around my belly button that aren't visible anymore, but they wrinkle when I bend forward or suck my gut in. If I'm standing it looks fine and doesn't look flabby. My little girl is twenty months now. I breastfeed and I do yoga. Never tried any creams. I do eat well. I have a feeling in my case it's improved as much as it's going to and am working on accepting my new belly.
Makes me wonder what it's going to look like after the next pregnancy!
Not sure if any of that helps but... you're not alone! And you can't be perfect. We should all be proud of our new bodies (hard to do in this industry).

After my first I used one of those bands that help shrink your tummy. I would put firming lotion or oil on before though. That seemed to help alot. I gained about 50 lbs on top of already weighing more than I wished.

me too! i gained about 80 pounds with my son, had a C section last dec. i'm about 10 pounds away from my pre baby body and you know what got me there? eating right and RUNNING. at least 4 miles a week. it is the easiest workout i can tell you to do to get rid of that baby weight.
Wow Corgan!
I'm so happy for you that you are losing the weight so quickly. Damn! Today I go in for my monthly pre-natal visit. Gettin weighed in really sucks! I am 6.5 months along and up till this point, have gained about 30 lbs. in this last month, I feel as if I have put on at least another 10.
I haven't got any stetch marks yet (knock on wood), but I DO have the grossest celluite developing. This, to me, is worse than stretchies. I am really havin a rough time with it, as my body was SO tight before pregnancy. No celluite to speak of (cept the TINIEST bit on my thighs). Now, my ass is all dimply and gross
Does anyone have a remedy for celluite? suggested creams, tighteners, surgery alternatives?
Once I have the baby, I am getting back to my exercise routione with a vengeance. I LOVE to work out. I have been really fit my whole life. It really sucks to see your body you have worked so hard at maintaining, go to shit, so quickly. Don't get me wrong, I would do it again for my lil girl, I just thought my body would respopnd a lil different is all!
The main reason I am not at the gym now, is I am working full time (going to be a single mom and am saving up), and my job is extremely physical. Essentially, I have nothing "left" after working to put into fitness other than easy walking.

anne-my mom used the goodbye cellulite cream by nivea, and it really did work,it also worked for her strechmarks too.
Thank you guys soo much for the support,I did a huge no No today,i went to my myspace and took a look at my old pictures. Argh, although it does motivate me to get my body back.
My damn boobies are a bit saggy too, although I've been sleeping in a sports bra and spending a majority of my morning wearing it,and its helped a lot.

CONGRATS!!! I have a six month old little girl. I breast feed her and that helped me lose ALL of the weight, but for the first 7 weeks, I did have extra belly skin. I got lucky and it just went away without working out or creams etc. But my belly still had more skin than before. It may sound stupid but sucking in your belly all day long truely helps. It's easiy to do and soon you won't even realize you're doing it plus it contracts the muscles for insane amounts of time. I do it all the time out of a habit I started when I was in my teens.
