    Default Knee High Boots

I just bought a pair of knee high boots online, and while I could struggle to get the left zipper up, the right zipper is causing me a bit more trouble. I don't have fat calves, but apparently bigger than these boots were naturally meant to fit.

    Those are the boots.

Would heating them with a blow dryer around the calf be the best option for a comfy fit or something else?

    Thanks!

first off those boots are HOT.

seeing the buckles and what not on them makes me want to say no to the blow dryer. I would try stretching them to your calves. i have really muscular ones and can't wear boots

You're not the first, and won't be the last to have problems with the zips on Pleaser boots! I have thick legs and always have trouble with them as Pleaser make their boots for average sized legs.

I have about 8 or 9 pairs of Pleaser boots, from knee-highs to thigh-highs and I find that the only way to ease them in, is to put them on and ease the zip each time until the material (PU Leather probably) stretches a little. If you're too rough the zipper will pop or tear away from the material.

Hairdryers won't do much on PU, they work better on the PVC uppers on stripper heels.

I'm afraid it's just patience with these, but they are FAB boots, so it's worth it!

    Thanks <3

I managed to get them up, but they're still to the point of cutting off circulation in my legs. I might wear some kneesocks with them so they stretch that extra little bit.

The biggest part of my calf is 14". I have no idea what average is, but I'm a pretty tiny girl.

Hm, I just looked it up, and there wasn't a lot of results for average. One woman on Yahoo answers said that anyone with 14" calves must be obese because hers are 9", but here I am reading Jenna Jameson's book and she had her calf measurements at 10" when she was 14 or so...

Pssshh...any grown woman with 9" calves probably lacks the muscle mass to be capable of running or jumping. Mine are 14" too...and I think my calves are too thin!

Honestly, I think my calves are very nicely shaped. I'd hate to lose them <3

Good for you girl! I have 14" calves and would readily describe myself as having 'thick' or 'curvy' legs.

Well, I do on my right leg. My left calf has wasted due to damage to the sciatic nerve after a lumbar disc rupture. I'm constantly aware of the fact that my right leg is full and shapely with a nice 14"calf, whilst my left leg is down to just under 13" and it looks odd. I'm seriously considering a calf implant, especially as I model high heels, because although clever camera angles and retouching can hide the difference, it really gets me down!!

Thick calves at 14 inches? Am I measuring the right place - around the biggest part of my calf muscle? I have 13 inch calves, and I always thought my legs were too SMALL for the rest of my body, so I wear white knee socks while dancing to make them appear thicker.

If you have something (can't think of anything off the top of my head) to stuff the boots with while you're not wearing them that will stretch them ever-so-slightly beyond their capacity, as you don't want to risk breaking the zippers, this might work. It reminds me of what I do with thongs that are too tight - I stretch them out over my dresser and leave them sitting there until I need to go to work...no more muffin top.
