Or does stripping itself keep you in shape? Do you eat healthy?

I am 140 now, but am trying so hard to lose ten pounds so I can go start auditioning!

Also, just curious, can you buy a stripper outfit at lovers lane? Where can you get one besides online? What should I wear to my audition?Thx!

Eating healthy and exercising are essential in life and especially in stripping. Taking your clothes off in a room full of people requires a lot of self confidence. You have to feel comfortable in order to have the confidence to do the job.

Stripping is ABSOLUTELY not enough to keep me in shape.
It makes me so tired that I'm WAY less likely to want to do ANYTHING when I get home... so it cancels out any benefit I may have gotten from the dancing (which isn't much since I dance ssssoooooo sssssllllllllooooowwww)...
    I eat healthy and exercise.

I do. I've lost weight recently only dancing but I was not taking in the calories and my weight went back up as soon as I started eating like normal.

If you want to lose ten pounds you have to do cardio for at least 30 to 60 minutes 3-4 days a week, and eat low fat foods.

Your goal should be losing 1 to 2 pounds a week and no more. So in 5 weeks you can do it.

Biking, swimming, running, walking (long distance), walking up hill or an incline on a treadmill, elliptical machines, rowing.

You burn more fat and calories lifting weights but start out with eating right and doing cardio.

Perhaps this is working for you right now, but tons of cardio and "low fat" food is NOT the most efficient way to lose body fat and gain muscle in the long run. It's like fighting an uphill battle. Here's why: suppose you start out performing 45 minutes on an elliptical machine and burn 300 calories. You continue to do this 3-4 times a week. After one month, you no longer burn the same amount of calories during your 45-minute session. You only burn, say, 250 calories. This is because the body adapts to burn less calories when doing the same activity. So you're expending the same time and same amount of effort for diminished results! This is literally a waste of time and energy. If you have any questions about this, please see this article: http://figureathlete.tmuscle.com/art...es_you_fat&cr=

Also, "low fat" foods have little to do with loss of body fat. In order to drop body fat, it is necessary to eat lots of vegetable, lean protein, and sufficient amounts of HEALTHY fat. Even a lot of healthy fat is okay, as long as you're monitoring your overall calorie consumption and expenditure. Another necessary ingredient to fat loss and muscle gain is engaging in regular physical activity that is exhaustive and boosts your metabolism for a long period of time. Steady state cardio does not. Activities that do include sprints and weight lifting, among others.

Why start out with the activity that's less efficient? Beginning with lots of steady state cardio will only be detrimental to your metabolism. Furthermore, this type of cardio overworks the slow twitch muscles fibers, while neglecting the fast twitch. I could go into more detail about that, but I doubt anyone wants to hear it.

I don't mean for this post to come across as too brusk or "know-it-all." I've just tried to educate myself on the most efficient ways to eat and workout. And I promise you, this information has science and lots of good trainers to back it up.

Dancing used to be enough to keep me in shape , but since I've hit 28 I started to gain a few pounds so I started working out and making healthier choices in food. I don't diet and never will. I also don't deny myself anything. If I want chocolate cake , I eat a piece . Usually during the week I eat lean meat with vegetables ( i love veggies). I 'm down to one soda a day, a victory for me considering I was drinking 8 or 9 a day. If I want a snack I will grab carrots or celery with Light Ranch or a granola bar, but today I was craving white queso with chips, so I ate it. Food is meant to be enjoyed , but in moderation.

I don't watch what I eat or diet at all but I do work out a lot. I'm skinny and very toned. I do 1000 leg raises a day (and other ab work outs) four to five days a week and I do squats to make my butt bigger (it works for me), and I also pole dance (have a pole at home). The work is very physical and you have to have a lot of stamina to dance for a really long time nonstop (if a customer wants to continue enjoying dances from you).
I need to eat more vegetables and fruits but I eat a lot of sweets, meat and carbs and candy.

I buy my outfits online and I make some. (I have a sewing machine)
