Default Should I report this? To the police?

So I occasionally browse the talent gigs on craigslist, as in the music/modeling/promo modeling side, because I do like to do a little bit of modeling work here and there.

I came across an ad looking for "models", for a modeling agency.

This particular company is not a modeling agency, it's an escort service.

I worked for "them" in 2008, and when I say "them", I mean him. He's a pimp. The only time I have EVER come close to getting arrested was because of him, and it had nothing to do with escorting, it was because he was smoking a blunt in the car while driving, he dropped it on the road when police lights came on but the cop saw him drop it, smelled the weed in the car, but ultimately couldn't charge us with anything because there was no real evidence.

He also tried to force himself on me, so I parted ways with a quickness.

He's looking for "models" ages 16 and up. It made me sick to read.

I'm all for LEGITIMATE escort agencies advertising in the ADULT GIGS section in CL, but I really feel like this could get a lot of young girls who wouldn't normally do this really hurt.

My concern is, if I report it, because I'm still escorting, am I going to make myself a target?

I know he doesn't have a business license, so they could get him on that, but I don't want to do anything that could risk my own safety.

    Advice?

Can't you leave an anonymous tip? That would probably be the best way to go. It's not really your problem anymore, as you're not working for him, but on behalf on some poor 16 year old who might be getting pimped out it would make sense to say something.

Call the police! You can give an anonymous tip. I am not one to be a 'snitch' but when it comes to pimps who are harming these UNDERAGE girls, i find that so disgusting...I watched a documentary called 'Very Young Girls' about 13-18 year old girls who had been pimped, one pimp had video of himself slapping these girls, giving them crack, humiliating them...ugh, it was so, so sad and awful, I had nightmares for a week. One girl was like 14 and has been dragged down a road and beaten by a pimp because she left him, even after she agreed to come back to him. If you're a grown woman and you decide to be with a pimp, hey, I don't get it but youre grown up and its a choice, but to be a little girl and to be lured by a pimp sincerely is the most fucking disgusting thing on this planet. Definitely call the cops, If you don't want to I will, i have no problem doing it for you. When I was in middle/high school I was paralyzed scared of going to the principals office or the mean girls, I can only imagine the fear of these girls being told by an older man that they will kill them if they leave...its unfathomable

I agree that an anonymous tip is a good idea in this case. You will be helping those girls.

First off, is he actually doing anything illegal?

    - Operating an escort agency without a license
    - Employing underage girls
    - Promoting illegal practices

If he is, call and leave an anonymous tip.

You can also flag the ad on craigslist.

Made an anonymous tip. As of today I'm no longer working in this area as an escort, so I'm not really concerned with putting myself at risk now.

They said they would "look into it".

Hopefully this will prevent any high school girls from getting duped into this lifestyle.
