    Default Charging for conversation?

How do you bring up that you'd like to be paid for talking to a customer? Or not "paid" but tipped? How do you bring up payment without it seeming crass, irrelevant, or uncaring, at all?

Wow that seems like such a newbie question...

Generally you don't. A good customer already knows to do this. If you sit for too long (over 15 minutes) and the customer hasn't already tipped you it's usually a good idea to move on.

It's not that hinting at it is impossible, but about the only way to do it is push for dances/vip and if they don't bite but seem interested to have you around say something like "Well, I really enjoy talking to you but I have a goal for what I need to earn by the end of the night". If they pick up the hint they'll tip you to stay and chat.

i always have a smart ass-funny-cocky personallity at work. I say to the guy something like, ïf you don't come dance with me soon, im going to start charging you a dollar per question!" I always get dances or tips out of him. It's my way of bringing the focus back on the fact that i am at work, even though im still the super hot-fun-cool girl.

Just keep in the back of your mind that at the club your time is money and Kylea is right, most of them will notice this. Just don't be pushy about it outright and say "you owe me $$ for xx time I've spent with you." lol
