Default Michael's Men's Club Lafayette Louisiana

I heard about this on Janet's website, but due to the recent bs I put up with through her agency.... I was thinking of booking myself through that club. I figure if it is that bad, I am not too terribly far from home. I wouldn't be that difficult for me to get back to Texas.

I looked at the website for this club, and it looks like he is trying to have an upscale type joint. At the same time I wonder if Lafayette isn't as major of a city as Shreveport or Baton Rouge. So, this place would have earning potential similar to a dive.

Otherwise, I won't really bother. Thanks in advance.

Sometimes being in a smaller city can be good. When there's less to do the strip clubs tend to be more popular.

Yeah, that is what I am wondering. Because the good thing about the last stripping trip I took, it was a small town. The guys had nowhere else to go. And because of that they followed the contact rules for the most part. I made decent money.

So that would be great if that were the case with this.

    janet can kiss my ass.
also, the club looks decent but i worry that it is hot as balls in louisiana right now. i've been considering going but i'm so displeased with my first and only experience with janet that i don't know.

Yeah I agree with your thoughts on Janet. That is why I am going to attempt to book myself.

Is she the one that booked you for Key West? She tried to talk me into going there before going to Conshohocken. I remember your post about how awful Bare Assets was. I told her I didn't want to work there because I didn't hear good things. She just chalked it up to people trying to cause drama on this board.

She never seems to take responsibility for anything. I had a complaint about the management where I last worked, and she decided that perhaps maybe I need to find a different line of work.
I know it isn't her fault that management sucks at a club, but I didn't get any kind of apology or understanding from her. She seemed to defend them.

When I email her asking questions about things, her answers always come off as flippant and short. Almost like I am bothering her. It is almost like she is useless. The only thing she is good for is the hotel discounts.

She also has a tendency to word things ambiguously on her site. Or atleast, make things sound better than they really are.

I worked this club two summers ago. It was great at the time. I would work there a week on then go home and come back a week later. I made great money but, I worked hard. It sounds like you are a feature. I worked there the weekend that Aspen Reign did a show. I have seen her do shows in other clubs that were fantastic. When she did her show at Michaels it alot less of what I have seen her do in other clubs. I didnt know if it was because the stage was so small or if it just for the Christmas party. Hope this helps.

skylar, no, i went to key west on my own and worked at different clubs while i was there. one of them was bare assets, which janet books, which is the least-nice club on the island. basically, dancers go to bare assets after they get fired from the other clubs on the island.

Oh okay. Well, she still insisted that there was nothing wrong with Bare Assets when I stated my hesitation to work there.

Oh no I'm not a feature. I wish lol. I just recently started traveling because of things being slow at my usual club. I just got back from Conshochoken, PA. So, I was thinking I'd try this place next. I am going to have to scrounge up some money for traveling expense first.

Hopefully the money is as good as it was two summers ago.

to date, that is the only time i've ever had to call the police on club management. i'll leave it at that.

janet's site is useful only in that it shows what clubs are currently IN NEED of dancers. if strip clubs did a better job of advertising that they were hiring, janet would be out of work. lord. the stories i could tell about my one experience with janet would take too much time to type.

in conclusion, strip clubs need to be better at marketing.

Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly. If the clubs marketed themselves and made it more aware that they needed dancers that badly... Then, it would make it alot easier for us who feel the need to book ourselves.

I am sorry that you went through such an awful experience. Let's hope you don't have to call the police on a club's management again.

did you see drug use and extras as a customer? or did you just get a shady vibe from it?

to date, i have only worked in one club where i saw drug use happening on the floor. by a customer.
but then, apparently, i am the anomaly because i am not studying the behaviors and activities of all dancers while i'm at work.

anyway, i think this is a useful warning to some dancers. and i think this would be a good time to say, feel free to post club reviews and the club and reviews section.

WOULD NEVER work there!!!! Honestly dont know how girls make money there, if they actually do, unless theyre sucking and fucking. Lafayette is NOT a town for strip clubs or making $$$$$, trust me.

Well, that definitely gives me some reservations about going there. Thanks for letting us know.

I fit the profile this club is talking about wanting ( white / athletic ) and they do "suck balls* for openly admitting they are not accepting dancers of color ..... but I still would love current info if anyone has any. I have a feeling there might be a 50% chance that it's good and it might be a 50% chance that the manager is just on some recruitment phase and it might not even be that good ( when considering the effort it takes to fly in, work 6-7 nights , get hotel ) . I'm tired of where I work and am just looking for somewhere to go where there is something to do during the day other than sit and look at the wall in my hotel room. By good ....I mean $500+ nights are possible for girls who HUSTLE hard and are willing to work long shifts if needed ( and I hope that's not rude to openly say ) .

ahhhh gwtm, (and carmen) this makes sense because i imagined that dancers were going to NO and BR and that's why the owner couldn't keep dancers. and there's nothing wrong with a small town, and i don't feel like i would have problems making money there, but if the club is simply DISGUSTING, then that is a different story.

I agree. If it is simply disgusting, then I don't think I even want to bother with this lol. God Janet needs a swift kick in the rear for not doing any research and just adding clubs to her site. Unless she knows this place is awful and doesn't care. In that case, a definite swift kick in the ass.

janet can kick rocks. i have noticed a pattern in the clubs she books. they cannot keep dancers for a reason. sometimes, the reason is because the club is far as hell away (guam) but even then, the contract for these far away places are so binding that it deters a lot of dancers from working there anyway.
the other half of the time, the clubs are just run by people who have no business managing ice cream trucks, let alone strip clubs.
i'm not sure what the case with this lafayette club is.

however, i will say this: janet does not give a damn whether or not you make money once you get there. and remember that she is not paying your house fees/traveling expenses/snacks/nothing. so basically, she is simply someone who is advertising the need for clubs who are hiring. she is not guaranteeing that you'll make money or that you'll be safe or anything like that. if you get there and you don't like the club, you are going to be shit out of luck and either have to stick it out or get your ass back on a plane and go home in the negative.
that is my one and only experience with janet. i could go on and on about this woman but i'm trying to control my blood pressure in 2010.

again, i don't know anything about this club but what the owner has told me. is it a glorified brothel? i don't know. is it full of customers every night with barely any dancers? i don't know. is there a reason why he cannot manage to find more than 10-15 dancers for his club? i don't know.

if i get bored and decide to check it out, i will report back.
