Default fading acne scars - FAST?

    Hi everyone!

I have had some problems with my skin on and off since I was a teenager, but have been on Spironolactone for about the last 5 months and it's helped a TON!

However, I'm getting married in three weeks (yay!) and I have a couple scars on my neck from my last breakout. The zits are from probably 4 months ago but I scar super easily and my skin is really sensitive!

Do I have any hope of making these less noticeable before my wedding?

Would tanning help, or would that just make the scars darker? I've never gone tanning before. I'm pretty pale.

    Any tips?

    Thanks!

You might want to see a doctor that specializes in lasers about "pulsed dye laser" or "laser resurfacing".

Otherwise I'd say to try Mederma.

Try a daily face scrub of plain oatmeal (Yes the one you buy at the store..LOL) mixed in a dime of water and scrub face circular motion then rinse with warm water and after apply rose water as a toner. (You can get that an any health food store) AND also do some weekly honey or tomatoes mask. (apply and let sit for 30-45 minutes then rinse) I would go easy on the honey since you said ur face is sensitive. You will have more of an even skin tone and glowy too!!

A slight tan makes mine less noticeable, I'm very fair with sensitive skin as well. Mind you, tanning beds are bad for you, and with fair skin it takes a long time to adjust. You'd have to start going now, and only stay in the beds for 4 or 5 minutes the first week, 7 minutes the next week, etc, etc.

I'd say hire someone reputable to do your makeup for your wedding, and go test out every brand of concealer you can find so you get a perfect match. If the makeup artist uses an airbrush foundation then that's even better, and it should cover your scaring beautifully.

I say a really strong chemical peel and/or laser, and some really caked on makeup!

You can say that again.. not just on here but men in general. Guys are so damn lame, the only way they can halfway make up for it is by opening their wallets.

Thanks for ll the tips guys. I am so scared of doing anything like a chemical peel or laser at this point because it's two weeks from today and my skin has been known to freak out for extended periods of time when I do something new like that.

Also, I realized since I'm using topical Retin-A going tanning might not be a good idea since it makes me so sensitive to UV and I already burn easily. I think makeup is my best bet. I'm going to meet with the artist that will be doing my makeup sometime this week and I'll talk to her about it. The wedding is during the day so I don't want the makeup to be too noticeable!
