hi,

it's florida in may. i imagine most clubs are slow right now.

when it's cold everywhere else.

yeah "season" is generally october-april. however, this april was pretty shitty, and things didn't really pick up until well into november. basically when it's cold everywhere else. but it was pretty cold here too. things are worst from probably late june into most of september.
the last few nights i've worked were shit. like 100$.
if you aren't doing good at your club, you can try other clubs. just because a club isn't great in general doesn't mean it won't be great for you. and a generally good club could be horrible for you. new girls typically get free house, so looking around at least shouldn't be too expensive.
what club are you at now?
-love everyone but keep them far from your soul-
I'm looking for a club to work at this weekend. What do you suggest?
How much are dances and champagne rooms?

here are my (harsh) opinions:
1. First of all, Tampa sucks. You can definitely make money here, but you aren't going to be rolling in dough unless you are:
dating customers
promising to date customers
offering high mileage
flat out scamming/lying to customers
RIDICULOUSLY hot and/or VERY good at hustling <--and I mean -VERY-
This is not a city where you can just go to a club, be lazy, walk around, and have guys ask you for dances. You -have- to work.
2. Tampa is known for high mileage. If you want to make "amazing" money, you need to work at a club that offers it. I did for awhile and then it started to drive me batty, so I moved to a lower contact club. My money dropped considerably, but it was better for me and I was ok with the "pay cut". That being said, you will still have to deal with customers "expecting" heavy contact or at LEAST a lot of friction, because "this is Tampa".
3. Most clubs everywhere are slow right now and are slower in general than years before. If you are just starting out, how do you know your club is slow? Maybe it's normal? Maybe it's what is to be expected for this time of year and in the current climate of the industry?
4. Like I said earlier, aside from having a regular who just throws money at you (it happens), in this city less mileage almost always means less money. I'm talking about real mileage -AND- implied mileage (which I don't recommend, but that's up to you). Places like Mons, 2001, and others known for full friction dances will -always- be busier and more full of customers actually going there FOR a dance (and not "just to drink/stare").
5. IMO the best club to work at in Tampa IF you want a lower contact club, is Dollhouse. I dont know where you are right now, so for all I know maybe that's where you work. Penthouse is similar, but usually slower. I have not worked there so I can't really say exactly what it's like. I'm not saying DH isn't without it's problems, no club is, but I have found it to be the most comfortable place to work. Of course this is only my opinion. I like most of the staff, I like most of the girls, I like the rules of the club, and I think in general the customer quality is better. If I had to dance somewhere else and I were willing to do high contact, it would be Mons. IMO if you're going to do high mileage, you might as well be at Mons, if they will hire you. Of all the high contact clubs it has the most money making potential while being the least down right filthy. Again, I'm not saying it's a "clean" club, I'm just saying by comparison.
Thank you.
Do they have Chap rooms?

Does Dollhouse require schedules and auditions? Is it a gown club or bikini or what? I'm in Orlando dancing in Cocoa Beach but my friend and I have been wanting to try a few clubs in the Tampa area for a while now. I'm wanting to be familiar with my options should things hit the fan in Cocoa with everything that's going on with NASA.

1. yes they have champagne rooms. there is always someone back there "with you" though.
2. It's a gown club with certain other nights (costume day/lingerie day/etc). It's topless. You have to audition through am night, which is Tuesdays. If you are hired there is no schedule, but you have to be on the floor by a certain time or the house starts going up and eventually there's a cut off.

good post PP! I would agree with 99% of what you said about TPA. However, since you work at Dollhouse, that is where your knowledge is and I would like to point out that there are other clubs in the area that are good to work at too... Penthouse has new mgmt and things are going well. It would also be good to point out that there are 3 main counties in the TB area and the rules/ clientele is different in all 3. I have heard that the best $ for those with more open minds is in Pasco where its full nude full liquor. In Pinellas the laws are more strict but most of the clubs hurt because of that- you will find more of a local hang out in Pinellas and more of a spending crowd in Hillsborough. BUT kudos to you for being honest as most dancers who are happy w/ their venue wouldn't encourage others to come!
I agree it depends on where you are located and how far you are willing to travel to get to work. There are over 70 adult entertainment establishments in the Tampa Bay area. You have to be more specific as to what you are looking for to be able to narrow it down!
