    Default Working with a felony?

Just wondering if any of you ladies are working with any felonies? It seems to sort of fit the stripper sterotype that we're all trouble makers who get arrested for drugs or stabbing a girl with a knife because we're crazy bitches.
Obviously because we get naked we're all trashy girls who shoot up and get arrested for beating up cops - leaving stripping to be our only job due to the number of all the felonies we have . so the guys that come in tell me, however.

ps - speaking of stereotypes does anyone have the link to the thread about "cinnamon" the stripper? it was this story about a guy trying to get in her pants, cant find it.

    <<< Zero criminal record.

In Colorado though they don't check your records before you start working, nor did they when I danced in San Fran.

[edit] Except for private dance licenses, there is an FBI background check in Colorado for those.

they dont check records here in central florida for dancers either - as far as im aware. my boss just asked me if i had any arrests, so it was basically off the record here.

in cities that have enacted dancers' licensing laws, there is no way that the local 'powers that be' are going to issue a dancer's license to any girl who turns up a felony charge in the criminal record database. In fact, dancers' licenses will not be issued if certain misdemeanors turn up i.e. prostitution, lewd conduct, drug possession, robbery etc. And often it doesn't matter whether or not a conviction was actually obtained ... the mere existance of the charge can kill license approval in some cities.

in Wichita, they do criminal background checks. Felons and Sex/Drug convictions immediately deny you of your license.

Clubs here in Canada, do not ask for a background check, only when we get the liscense and renew it

Legally speaking a parking ticket isn't a felony. Rarely are traffic violations even considered a "criminal offense", with the exception of certain things like DUIs/DWIs.

i run and hide to fast to get in trouble .

although i have tried to fight the police before. one of the few times in life when i did not duck and cover very quickly. i got put in the car but didnt get booked though.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

They didn't ask about it at my club, but nope, nothing here! A few campus parking tickets and that's as exciting as it gets.

^ You don't need to be a stripper to get into trouble and conversely not all strippers are troublemakers.

Are you using the fact that you're a dancer as an excuse for why you're getting into trouble?

I worked with a dancer who set another dancer on fire. How's that for a felony?

(This was last year. The poor girl is still under going multiple surgeries).

No felonies of any sort. I did get a speeding ticket once (which for driving 20 years is amazing). Oh and I was once arrested for battery for hitting my friend's boyfriend after he hit me first, but the cop arrested me (the cop was a typical chauvinist pig). The case was thrown out of court. I no longer talk to my friend because she's trash. Otherwise, I avoid trouble.

No im not using the fact that i dance as an excuse to get in trouble - guys just assume, at least in my area, that because im a dancer im therefore a trouble making whore. it was just a question i received at work and wondered if any of you girls got the same, or were actually trouble making whores ;]

and why was the girl set on fire?

Yeah, it was. That club is no longer in business. It closed last summer. The incident happened on what would have been my second night there. I decided to work at another place that night.

Indianapolis did not have a dancer license, so no record check. Louisville, KY did. Supposedly you could be turned down by the city if you had a felony. But, I knew girls with felonies and even on probation with city dancer's licenses. When the city and county merged, the dancer license seems to have vanished.
