For all the useful info on this body business page, thanks a million. I'm close to being addicted to see what new info comes up. A month or two back someone posted about hypoactive thyroidism, and the post got me to thinking.

I was eating very healthy and my post baby weight was/is still not off. So I went to my doc, who noticed how huge my kneck was. I normally have hyper active, but turns out, I switched. My thyroid burned itself out because my body attacked it. My pituitary hormones (I think it was t4 levels but I don't recall)which are considered high at 5 were past 9. And my thyroid wasn't putting anything out at all. I could have gone comatose and died, no joke. I also recently found out that my Grandma died because of her thyroid. I wouldn't have thought of my thyroid and gone to my Docs without that post. Thanks.

To anyone else who has dealt with this, and was given thyroid replacement hormones, how long untill the fatigue goes away? After less then two weeks, I've lost 6 pounds without changing my diet, will the weight loss continue with healthy eating? On web sight reviews people have mentioned that they gained weight on this stuff, any opinions? Is it safe to go for fast weight loss through diet and exercise in your experience? Yes, I will be asking my Doc, I'm going to see a specialist in the near future.

Anyways, I just wanted to say thanks to the people who wrote in the thyroid post, because it pointed me the right way.
