    Default Fave software?

I have two new software favorites to keep my laptop humming.

    Both from download.com.

Auslogis Defrag. Since it works in twenty minutes vice twenty hours like regular windows defrag.

File shredder. Besides overwriting files to permanently be rid of them there is there is the "shred free disk space" option that overwrites all those sectors that are supposed to be empty. Nver fails to give me back a few gigs.

    Anyone?

Defraggler and CCleaner as alternatives to the OPs software, I am a huge fan of them both.

The latest editions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks.

Pretty much any browser that isn't Internet Explorer.

...the program reaches out to several or hundreds of computers that are turned on (& connected to the internet and have their utorrent program running) and starts downloading pieces of the file you are looking for all at the same time. A torrent is like a "file name/instruction" on how to send those pieces to the computer asking for the file. Thats my lame explanation.

^^ Thanks to you 'WiseGuy_TX'!! If you want to explain in more depth I would happily have a chat via 'PM'.......

Now, here's a really cool little program I came across a couple of days ago.

It's a FREE, personal privacy program called 'My LockBox'. It creates an 'invisible' Folder at a password protected 'secret' location on your PC/Laptop, which only you know. Then you can hide and lock your most sensitive Files and Folders in it. Only Administrator access will let you in, with a password.

I use it for my more 'risque' Fetish Heels photographs. Have a look:

    http://www.fspro.net/my-lockbox/quickstart.html

And if you want to get rid of any traces of your browsing - use this - 'CCleaner':

    www.piriform.com

They are both free and NO bugs either!
