And Texas too! I have always wondered this; what does your Gulf coastline look like? What are your beaches like? What's the water like?

I live on the gulf coast of Florida, on the peninsula, and it's a little different here than those places you describe.
That said, I've lived in Texas and used to go surfing west of Galveston. I've also spent a lot of time at the panhandle Fla beaches, and a little time on the coast of Mississippi.
Texas beaches are ok...dingy, to be honest, at least the northern areas (like Galveston). Water is dingy...I always thought it was oil...you can see the oil rigs from the beach.
The Missisippi coast used to be really charming...old houses right across from the beach with huge live oaks...since Katrina, the coast from the beach to about a 1/4 mike inland is just flattened and it looks like....well, it looks like a tidal wave hit it. The beaches themselves are nothing to write home about it in Mississippi...kinda blah...
There is a series of barrier islands in Bama that are really pretty, but the only way to get there is by boat.
Florida panhandle beaches are absolutely beautiful...wide, white sand...emerald water...no waves if you like calm water...

Texas coastline is terrible. Not only do the oil rigs put out alot of pullution, but there are lots of chemical plants all along the coastline dumping waste into canals that lead right to the ocean ( smart eh? ), and the water is brown. The sand is a nasty brown. Dead jellyfish are also found all along the coast all the way down to mexico. The worst part? The mosquitos! Everywhere..

So no pretty little beachy communities? :/

check out the Pensacola area.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.
Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.
NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

I was in Corpus Christi, TX with Athena last year and drove past the coastline. I like the warm weather but the beaches looked pretty rocky and generally dirty... not the type of places you'd sunbathe or get into the water.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

I lived in Panama City for two years, and visit florida all the time. The water is gorgeous with lovely communities. The water is generally calm and clear-and reasonably warm! White sandy beaches. Pensacola has some awesome beaches, as does Panama City. I highly recommend going!

Yes there are some in parts of Texas and Alabama. The area from Corpus Christi and south has some nice beaches. Some of the beaches there remind me of beaches just north of the Mexican border in So Cal, actually.
Also, Alabama has some nice beach areas....but really, go just a little more east and Pensacola has some awesome beach communities. Santa Rosa is fantastic.
Louisiana and Mississippi, not so much. Mississippi might have been ok at one point...Biloxi and Gulfport have some charm....but the beaches themselves....meh...and ever since Katrina, they are beat to hell.

Im laying out on Pensacola beach right now...and its beautiful. Booms are ready to go out if needed, but are not set up yet.
I was in Perdido yesterday on d beach, also very beautiful.

The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

^^^Jersey does have some icky beaches. When I got to Cali I kept commenting about how blue the water was, everyone was like: "What color would it be?!" Try greenish-brown people. :/

Cant wait til Miami. Emerald waters.
Just like Panama City and Destin.
Here in Pcola....not so much. i dont get in. But the beaches are nice.
Don't forget the recent huge oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. It will potentially destroy much of the coastline of Florida as well.

Gulf Shores, Perdido, Pensacola, Destin, and Panama City Beach all have beautiful beaches. Clear water, white sand, generally very calm but I do have friends here that wake board and surf so we do get waves sometimes! Texas beaches are repulsive. The smell is unbearable, dead seaweed EVERYWHERE, the water is completely brown, its unbearably hot in the summer.
Why would you want to live in any of those states - MS, AL, LA? They get some of the worst weather!

ill take the occasional hurricane or tornado over a brutally cold winter any day.
