    Default Unusually slow?

Have the past 2 weeks been unusually slow for anyone else? At my club, it has been completely dead. Even on the weekend we aren't getting any customers. Girls who have been dancing 9 years or so have said that the past 2 weeks, last weekend especially, have been the slowest they have ever seen it.

I'm just wondering if it's like this everywhere? I'm in Maryland, so I don't know if that makes a difference. Half of our girls are talking about going to other clubs, but the staff at our club is trying to say it's like this everywhere in our area. But I find it hard to believe that every club in Maryland can be like this, because if that were the case, every strip club plus every stripper would be out of work.

And when I say slow, I mean really slow. Like even our top girls during the week are leaving with $50-100.

I do not know about up there, but in Illinois it's the slowest it's ever been.

My club has been dead. We do 1 hour private booths, and many girls aren't having any costumers come in. I'm lucky someone called in sick today because I made $70 in her booth. The one before mine was $0, the one before was $31.

We also announced we're closing... it has KILLED attendance.

All I can think to tell you is last week everyone was paying first of the month bills and this week everyone is broke from that.
So really unless you're in a lucky spot or excetional my feel is there are only 2 good weeks in a month to work.

Around how much in a day would you say you made in your booth/s total? I'm curious as to your peepshow vs mine. So few to compare!

I went three days without selling a single dance last week. Friday night there was a total of 3 dance sells for about 9 girls. I heard Tuesday not a SINGLE guy walked in the door at all.

I'm taking time off from dancing, needless to say.

Total is hard to say. Depends on what time of day, and I don't get to pick. Evening like around 5pm or 7pm seems best. Lately I've been stuck with morning booths, like 11am or noon. They suck. Late nights don't do too well either, probably because we're the only establishment open so everyone just goes home. On weekdays though sometimes we get a lunch rush, haha.

Last week was goo, I did 3 booths and made on average at least $70 per booth.

This week just finished... I did 4 booths... one was $70, but the rest were like $30.

I have a booth tomorrow... and I really want a Hustle Hut for private show performers.

YES!!! Everyone at my club for the last week or two has been doing the whole "Holy hell " whenever they look around at the customer count. On Saturday by midnight my club is usually standing room only, but yesterday by 12 it looked more like early dayshift - the managers were starting to get antsy because we don't do schedules and a ton of girls were getting pissed off and leaving early.

so far the only explanation i've come up with is that winter was so brutal that people are getting into summer mode early because they're so relief for some nice weather.

if that's the case, summer could go either way...even worse than usual or a bit better than usual because people will have gotten bored of the constant summer and will turn to the airconditioned darkness of the stripwomb.

Weekends may be slow for the next weekend or so because many college kids are gearing up for Finals. Wait til the end of May; they'll be back

YES! And it's prompt me to jump around to other clubs.

And I know it's bad when vip dancers who would never do anything less than a half hour is now doing $20 dances.

This past week was really bad at my club too. Girls are calling it a 'fluke week' because we had so many slow days. I'm new at this club, and I'm thinking it might just be a slow club and they're not facing reality, but we shall see. Next week will tell. I hope it really was just a rough week.

Also, Taxes were due on the third I think (I'm in Canada). I normally don't like to generalize and make excuses for poor club attendance/not selling many dances but I think that might be a viable reason as to why no one was in clubs this week.

I agree about the last two weeks being very slow, though there were two really good nights in there and the rest were incredibly dead. I noticed Thursday was the worst and thought it might have to do with the stock market taking a plunge, causing people to be afraid to spend money.

No I can't say it's been like that. We were packed Sat. the busiest I've seen it in a while actually. I've been doing alright. I had a pretty crappy night Wed. but I was also in a horrible mood and left early.

Thanks ladies, I'm glad to know it wasn't just us!

I just don't understand why the past 2 weeks have been the worst, ever. I'm hoping it picks back up. No one wants to go strip and make only $50 - $100.

This past weekend was quiet and it was exactly the same the year before. I assumed mothers day was the reason. Most of our custies have wives who are mothers or are doing stuff with their own moms. We also had a long wknd not too long ago so a lot of people are burnt out from that. Winter is coming here though so we will start to slow down.

I usually reserve such comments for the Dollar Den, but consider the following ...

Certain upscale clubs depend on a customer base consisting of bankers, stockbrokers, corporate execs, attorneys, and other 'professionals'. In general these guys are doing fairly well right now from a business standpoint ... and as such have money available to spend in clubs.

However, middle of the road clubs depend on a customer base that consists of guys who either 'work for a living' or are 'students'. These guys are NOT doing so well right now from a financial standpoint. Since April 15th many discovered that their tax refunds were smaller than expected or non-existant thanks to rising state and local tax rates. Students have discovered that their gov't student aid has been ( or soon will be ) cut. Both have discovered that food prices, gasoline prices, utility bill costs etc. have all increased in 2010. And both have to worry about finding / keeping a job that pays enough to cover their 'essentials'. As such, both are now in a position of having less available money to spend on 'non-essential' items i.e. lap dances !

Unfortunately, if current economic trends continue, the above situation is likely to get worse instead of better even though the 'upper echelon' segments of the economy appear to be improving a bit. As extra money becomes more 'precious', the guys who 'work for a living' also tend to expect to receive MORE from dancers in exchange for the money that they DO spend. This of course increases their expectations for 'extras' during private dances.

This is so true. An example: The bank across the street from my club closed last year. Now my club is closing because we don't have as many business men in for "lunch".

Mother's day wasn't good for us either, most of our custies are married. It was PACKED outside of my club though, but of course no one was coming in.

It has been slow. I'm not looking forward to the next couple of weeks.

There was a major volcano eruption in Europe and that is when I noticed attendance just drop then picke up a week later.

It disrupted a lot of travel and business. There are more eruptions and slow business deals to come.

I'm shocked that we live in a world that is so technologically advanced that businessmen still haven't perfected the art of telecommuting and teleconferencing.

If you think about it cam girls are on the cutting edge of business.

    Really.

yeah, sometimes, if you calculate it, there are certain times where you are better off not showing up, particularly if you are driving (to save on gas money). april was just bad. i'm not sure why. last april was a really strong month for me, but then, i was up north last april, so that also mightve had something to do with it.
