$650 for a postage stamp 1br/1ba that includes wifi, cable, electric, water, & sewage. Hate the neighborhood & kitchen though. last place was $1250 a month and I'd kill to go back! I miss having a private beach.
The place is in Atlanta. The apartment is for undergrad and grad students. The average apartment in Atlanta for a decent/safe area is like $1200-1300+ plus additional fees like trash, mandatory renter's insurance, and parking if you live in Downtown or Midtown area. The place is in Downtown which is not the worst but certainly not the most safe. There are many homeless/mentally ill people. Public transportation is pretty good since it by a few train/subway stations.

Oahu Hawaii $1750 all in ( split between myself + stud muffin ). So glad to be GONE honestly .
^ We didn't overspend either. Places less are SAD DIVES and my day job requires 20 hours a week from home so I can't live in a depressing dive.
We are getting ready to pay $840 all in for a place just as good or maybe even a little nicer in our new city.
Having my rent be just $420 TOTAL feels so amazing.
OH .... haha. I forgot the "kicker". It get the "deal" on our Hawaii place , we agreed to only have ONE parking space so usually we would call each other to leave a car 2-3 blocks AWAY or one of us would walk back ( easy without rain, not so easy with rain or with hands full ).
Our new place has spaces for each of us ( covered ) and plenty of guest spaces!

I had a studio and I paid $550. The next place I get can't be more than 900-1000 so I'm thinking no more than 2 bd, downtown Baltimore (I can find it I'll just have to really look)

$1400 for a 700sqf 1 bed, 1 bath pre-war building (where shit breaks every few weeks and bldg. management does NOTHING to fix anything) that's about 40 minutes away from Manhattan. So, so, so glad to be leaving NY next month!![]()
I live in a major city. $700 base rent/month. 2 bedroom market rate townhouse with patio. In a nice (but not snooty) part of city. I pay electric/water/sewer/trash/internet. Lot parking is free, but if I wanted a garage, would be about $80 extra a month. I pay an extra $20 a month in addition to base rent to have a dog. Plenty of sidewalks and land to walk the dog. Close to everything. I can walk to a ton of places including the gym I go to.
There still are affordable places out there... Though I did have to wait for 2 months on a waiting list to get in the place I have because even for the city I live in, it is a good deal. Always easier to find a good rates somewhere if one can be flexible on when the move-in will be.

$1800 a month for a 1 bedroom apt.![]()

We currently pay $840 inclusive for an apt. in a secure building with solar panels on all sides ( it creates it's OWN energy and shoots some out into the grid ). I knew about the place and it took me 4 months of calls / waitlisting to get a crack at it. I'm happy with the choice. The surfaces are beautiful ( faux wood floors / granite / stainless ) . It fits TWO very well and we can host sporadic guests, but don't have space for too many visitors. It's a good mix for us because we didn't want to overspend on housing and sacrifice our frequent road trips.
( pinches self .... WE CURRENTLY PAY HALF WHAT WE USED TO IN OUR HIGH COST AREA )
I also live closer to a strip club THAN I EVER HAVE . We have a club ONE BLOCK away ( I probably won't dance there for privacy ). We will obviously be going as customers very soon.![]()

$1400 1 bed in nice area close to everything decent apartment complex. Much nicer than our last place.

I pay for $1700 (nothing included) for a shitty very small very loud studio in the shitty the part of San Francisco. I'm moving to SoCal in mid August and I'm soooooo happy! I'm getting a decent studio for only $725 in a decent neighborhood.

I am paying around $430-$440 for a room in a household, and I share the bathroom with another person. A friend of mine introduced me to it. I am pretty happy with the arrangement.
I am saving up for my own house, but it's hard to work as many hours as I want because I am also doing school, art, and gym on top of that.

2150$ and I'm actively looking for a sugar daddy (or 2) to start covering that ASAP

All rent is a form of corruption..forgot the source of that quote.

$2,135/month NOT including utilities. It's for a 760sq ft 2 bed 1 bath apartment in Key West florida.

I'm wondering what everyone is paying in 2019. I now pay $1500 for same place yes they put up rent after Hurricane. I plan to move next year.

Too cotdamn much. Some bullshit. I should just buy a tiny home and call it a day
But on the upside I’m just thankful I can afford it
$895 for a 2 bedroom apartment, utilities not included but I got lucky that they were running a discount because rent usually runs $1000+ in this area, even for tiny 1 bedroom apartments. I get worried that by the time lease renewal is up, they're going to suddenly raise it to $1000+

I *think* our base rent is $930 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It goes up about $40/year. I cringe every time but it's still at least $150 below market rent for similar units.
Both SO & I are now commuting entirely too far for my tastes, but I'm still hesitant to move because we'll end up in a much smaller place for the same price + all the fees with move-in. We'll cling onto our comparatively low 'grandfathered' rates until we move out of state or commit to staying here & buy a home.
Side note: Stop moving here, Californians! Keep your high rent prices!

$560 for a 1-bedroom apartment.
$1500 for a 4-bedroom rental house.

Now, about $1850 for a 2br/2ba apartment.

$1,800 for a tiny one bedroom in Los Angeles, 1/2 mile from the beach. Even though its a cubbie hole; I have my own w/d in my unit, dishwasher, detached one car garage, nobody above me, below me and I share one common wall with my neighbor who is NEVER home, absolutely ideal for camming. What I have is almost impossible to find in my area I literally manifested this place.

$0 right now
Moved out of place I hated and it’s been a month of nomadic living . First house sitting , parents a week , then new bf’s place . He makes me earn my keep though doing these tasks related to his AirBnB rental project .
Not sure if I’ll travel yet. A month of “ free “ living has its perks but I imagine I’ll want my own place very soon.
I’m kind of adding it up too and feel I make less living this way ( less earnings due to not being settled so it doesn’t save much really ).
If I stay in the city I like I’d aim for around 1k again .
