Default Is there a pill for lighter skin

Does anyone know if a skin lighting pill really exists? And if so is this something that's only reserved for the rich and famous like Beyonce, Lil Kim and Sammi Sosa?

I'm a tiny bit frustrated on the options for skin lighting. Yes I've tried whats out there for years....tried the Ambi, Lustra, Black and White Fred Palmers, standing on top of my head (just kidding) and the only thing that happens is if I have a blemish it clears up. So has anyone used skin lighting pills....do they really work. I saw to things on ebay claiming to ligthen skin but not sure if they work...
Here's one link on amazon that I'm about to check out.

I'm a very actractive and have no problems snagging men of all races....so BEFORE you respond to this post let me tell you now I don't have self esteem problems simply want to enhance my features can you dig it I find it odd that when my white "sisters" go to the tanning bed to make there skin as brown no one says anything...but when a brown "sister" wants lighter her skin than it becomes an issue.
If there is anyone out there that can help me out hit me up let me know thanks!!!!

There's really nothing that will lighten your skin. The only meds that have a higher concentration that will give a bit lighter is prescribed through a dermatologist but I doubt if they'll prescribe it to you without some type of skin defect. They won't just give it out just cause. If I were you, I would stop using those other products because they won't work. There only made for blemishes not to actually lighten your entire body. They don't have that much concentration to do that. Also it's dangerous because you can get a lot of health problems by using too much of those, because they contain a lot of chemicals. So be careful.

Look up Japanese skin lightening creams and creams from the Philippines. There are some cosmetic sites based in the Philippines which claim to have an inpatient process which they use on skin to lighten it a few shades. There are also a few websites which give homemade concoction instructions..stuff like lemon juice facial scrubs and the like which can potentially be used on the whole body. There was a discussion about this on here some time ago so you may want to run a search. Hope that helps!

Thanks...I may as well...I would save a lot of cash haha and you're right they don't work. I hear a bunch of people saying it's dangerous but to my knowledge I've never heard of anyone dying because they tried to lighten their skin and I've been doing it for at least five years if not more.
I know you say it does not work but AGAIN what are the stars using? I mean rest in peace MJ but we've all seen his skin lighten wayyy too much over the years. Then there is Lil Ki; Beyonce; Sami Sosa...I mean there has to be something out there... Oh boy here I go again lol

I don't believe Beyonce does. She's pretty mixed, her mother has quite a bit of French and Indonesian in her I think.

Use a high SPF sunscreen everyday even if it isn't sunny for starters.

I used to be majorly into be as pale as possible. I have to second the person who said to look at the asian market. They seem to have a lot of things with high skin lightening content.

The home remedies probably don't work. Do some research of search to pull up the old thread. I remember it.

Beyonce doesn't use lightners nor does li kim. peoples tone changes simply by the color or type of makeup u use. Some people seem to be lighter in the winter than they r in the summer. It's alot of things that changes ur tone. but as far as MJ goes, I believe he really had a skin disorder because alot of black people has skin disorders. I had a friend that was beyonce's tone and he started off having blotches on his skin when we were in junior high . By the time we were out of high school, he was MJ tone. Because there's nothing that can get ur entire body one color unless u have a skin disorder. Also, the harm u do to ur body does come, it's not going to show up right away cause it's long term damage. But either way u r doing harm and eventually it'lk show.

i honestly don't know if there is a skin lightening pill. from your post, i think you maybe want something more permanent? if so, i don't think that creams would really do it for you, b/c the lightening properties are at really low dosages and often contain mercury chloride (pretty harmful); in large dosages, it can harm your skin. i would def. start with sunscreen, as suggested already.

oh, a lot of people have died from lightening their skin, google "Jamaica skin bleaching" and you will get a bunch of links talking about deaths. i think it's mostly bc of homemade remedies and using clorox and such to get the desired tone. the way it is done in jamaica more often than not leads to cancer

hope you find what youre looking for

If you scroll down on this article it has really good information about the different ingredients that can be used for skin lightening (including herbs)
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Skin-Lightening-Ingredients
Some like Hydroquinone are dangerous but others like licorice extract/glabridin seem safe

I haven't tried it but this product but its marketed for asian women and uses an ingredient that i noticed a lot of other products dont have, so if they didn't work for you maybe this will:

"extract of Extrapone Nutgrass which naturally inhibits melanin"

Ummm certain stars are definitely using skin lightening treatments. But I do think you would have to consult with a Dr., and doubt there is a pill which can obtain the same effect. People like MJ and my aunt, who have vitiligo, still undergo the skin lightening to achieve a more uniform appearance, instead of having white patches all over. I think the only option is if you go to a cosmetic surgeon who can laser pulse treat the whole area you want lighter, or they can perform facial peels and reccomend cleansers with hydroquinone which is a lightner. But you do have to have some money to have a major transformation!

I was a little frustrated with some of the responses I've gotten from this thread although I know they were all meant to be helpful. Thanks for the link naughty_princess and I hope all goes well with your aunt rarity!

I do believe certain stars use skin lightners...but to say which ones do or don't is dumb unless we know them personally and are with them 24-7.

uh, i assure you that skin-lighening causes damage.
michael jackson took a medication that suppressed his body from producing melanin, leaving him with no sun protection, which is why he was always covered head to toe - he had to to keep from burning.
if you've ever been overseas, you will see asian and african women alike with burned faces from attempts at skin lightening. i don't want anyone reading our post and thinking this shit is harmless, just as it would be reckless to say that tanning beds are harmless. socially acceptable and harmless are not the same thing.

As much as I don't like Jessica Simpson, on her show for VH1, she was in Thailand, where skin lightening is an obsession.

She met with a singer who used the creams and pills, and her skin was completely destroyed, leaving her with open wounds on her face and serious scarring that will never heal.

Seriously, it's ridiculous. Tanning is stupid, and I can't understand why women do that, but I also don't understand why women would lighten their skin.

Hello, I am also in the process of trying to lighten my skin but its mainly because over the years I've grown darker and darker and want to achieve the skin I had when I was 10-13.

The person who suggested looking in the Japanese market is brilliant and can do no wrong in regards to that but I suggest you start by reading this first.

Don't mind the whole men thing, this is universal and will get you started. Also about sunscreen. Pretty much anything made in America will not protect you like it should. You need significant coverage from UVA and UVB rays. You need to start out by stopping your self from getting darker before you can get lighter. Pretty much anything made in Asia or Europe will do you well. I happen to use La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Fluide Extreme 50+ which suits my criteria perfectly but everyone is different...

Im too lazy right now to write more but I wrote on my blog my entire regimen for lighting my skin. I hope it helps some what...

Oh and as a bit of warning..Im an extremist when it comes to things like this....Hahahahaha!!!!

Oh wow, I didn't know Sammy Sosa got light. He looked 100 times better before. Now he looks older, grey, and almost like a dead corpse.

I don't know of any pills, but there are creams that work. They will just fuck with your skin something terrible. I know someone who uses these creams and please believe me when I tell you- just using a callous stone can draw blood if she isn't careful. This stuff is no joke- please rethink this idea. Good luck.

So I googles Sammy Sosa skin lightening and I saw a European product called Nur76 and an Asian product Mega Blast Bleaching Creme. There's a product available in black shops/salons and Sally Beauty Supply called Ambi but it has only 2& hydroquinine

Meah, I've been thinking a bit on this. If you want permanent life long results I don't think anything OTC will work. Or it will work and then will stop. Though it seems a bit racist to me to say it I think you should find a Dermatologist of East Asian Decent and ask them for help on permanent Skin lightening safely. Im not trying to say that doctors of other races are bad or anything but I think you should look for someone who will be more so sympathetic to your cause and someone from East Asia (Japanese and Chinese especially) will obviously have patients come in looking to lighten their skin because thats sort of the norm in Asia. The doctor will be more willing to share their expertise with you and not send you running off or make you feel bad.

Im mainly speaking from personal experience when I tell you all of this. It really hurts for me to talk about race issues because Im sensitive about them. I've had more than a few doctors either turn me away or give me lectures over simple things that another doctor (in my case primarily Asian) were more than happy to help me with. I've often found that many Black doctors tend to get offended when you mention the words "Skin Lighting/Whiting" while dark non African decent doctors seem more so willing to help....

    yeah just my two cents.......
