The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.
Athena sweetie you have know idea about what will be going on at the new club clearly, they will not be charging girls as soon as they hit the door with outrageous house fee's (unlike Crusties a.k.a Christies) the managment is very nice with the head manager being a female and a former stripper herself. Auditions have already taken place and from what I've seen they will be hiring only the top notch girls with a few OLD beat up stragglers who they must feel sorry for due to them losing their jobs a few years back when hustler closed. The dressing rooms are amazing! Management is lovely. Only thing I will say is that the house mom didn't come off too warm and friendly....I could already see favoritism with a few of the girls. Other than that I'm excited to start there. Hopefully it blows Crusties out of business! Lol during the club tour there was already a Crusties girl 15 yrs past her prime saying how she knows how too dance between the cameras to do extras...too bad none of that will be going on there bcuz managment is not having it!

I'm not sure about that Hustler club, but when I danced at the one in San Francisco Larry Flynt owned the place and Deja Vu did the hiring and management.
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Ive heard that deja vu does take a lot of $$ from several different people. a friend of mine worked in columbus and said at the end of the night she owed them over $200 bc all they count your dances and take a cut out of every dance. I would assume this was true for you Athena?
As long as I'm going home with a good amount of $$$, I think it will be a good decision.

yea... 2 of the deja vu clubs i workd for had 30$ dances and we kept 25, the other had 30$ dances and we kept 22.
its not the house fees that get you (usually), its the commissions.
but the lap dances themselves werent the part where the splits were unreasonable. the champage rooms are hte ones where they would often take 50% ... sometimes more after beaver bucks fees.
that being said, i did choose to work at hte club that we kept 22 out of 30$ on the LDs and took the highest fees out of the CRs... because it was the cleanest club and i just made the most money there. but there were many nights when i would only sell rooms and go home with half of what i actually made. but even after the fees, what i went home with was a huge number so it was worth it.
also, despite how many cameras there are, dont expect cameras in the CR. the clean club i was talking about... i thought it did because they hired an "eye in the sky" which was an employee who watched the cameras at alll times aside from when he took a piss break. but i later found out that these cameras did not extend to the private champagne rooms. a lot of clubs are like that... ive only worked at one club that actually had cameras in the champagne rooms, and they didnt even watch that (as they made clear in my orientation). they really only kept them so they could bring them out if any sort of legal battle occured.
