Angry If your house caught on fire...

If your house caught on fire, a verry serious one...
& you had about 5 minutes to take something(s) with you, and to make it out alive....

What would you bring with you?

For me, I'd bring my dog and my stripper savings.
& If that didn't take up 5 mins, I'd take my work bag with my stuff in it for some serious stripping to support myself back!

My dog, cat, and birds. I'd be sad to lose all my items (or some of them) but would devastated to lose my animals.

    In order of priority

    1.) Cats
    2.) Antique jewelry
3.) Purse - pain in the butt to replace IDs
    4.) Computer
5.) My "dance memory" box - first pair of pointe shoes, old cards from contacts, pictures, awards, gifts from customers, promo pieces of when Anna Nicole Smith was still traveling and doing guest appearances,

The three & four could be replaced obviously, the first two couldn't - nor the last.

I'm guessing my roommate would be capable of getting herself out, so it would go like this:

    1. Our two cats (my babies... I think I might save them before myself lol)

    2. My big folder that has all my insurance info, bank info, car info... basically all my important paperwork that I heard you should keep in one folder in case of - a fire!

    3. My purse/wallet

    4. My little bank of cash

    5. Anything I could grab in the last seconds that reminds me of my siblings, photo's, gifts etc.

Aaaaand now I'm thinking nervously about all the other things I have that i would like to save, and wondering if I need to reorganize them all in case of a fire.

I'm grabbing my son, purse, & laptop and pray that it's not one of those nights where I slept buck naked.
I have renter's insurance. All my crap can be replaced.

Cats, passport, computer, wallet. If I had time I'd throw all my expensive clothes out the window as well.

    1) My son and his father
    2) My son's necessities (breastmilk/formula, diapers, wipes, a few outfits, blanket, carseat)
    3) I'd empty our safe of all the money and documents
    4) Bag of food
    5) I'd try to get my rats out, but it might not be possible

Get the clothes out, send them to your friend, then tell the insurance co they got burned up!

    Nah, that's fraud. I'm innocent!

    1) My passport/folder of important documents
    2) Purse/cash stash

I would also probably do something stupid like looking around like a maniac for my house keys.

^^ LOL me too. I like to think I'm pretty good in emergencies, but if I woke up surrounded in flames I'd probably do something retarded like run back inside for a soda

My husband and my cat first and foremost. Then:

Purse and mobile phone (often kept together), and car keys
A pair of high heels (NOT to escape in tho'...)
    Hairbrush
    My Vintage fur coat

...can't think of anything else immediately.

My cat, my dog, my purse, my phone, and any cash. My dance. Stuff stays at work; everything else can be replaced.

-open the door and let my dogs and cat run outside. I have leashes in my car so those would have to do for now.
-my car keys (again right beside door).
-makeup (oddly right in bathroom beside door)

alot of my shit is kept on the mainfloor of my home close to one of the doors. My stripper wear is usually in my car. My money is kept in the bank and I do have documents in my car to prove who I am. I have a box of dog toys/leashes/training stuff for my pets in my trunk along with some dog and cat cookies.

My house did catch on fire and, believe me, there is not much time to grab anything if its a serious fire. I was able to get my dog and my purse. My best advice is prevention! For anyone reading this right now, I want you to check the batteries in your fire alarms within the next 24 hours... seriously. And invest in a fire safe, even a small one for documents only. Inventory all of your valiuables in digital format, with photos, and back it up either in a fire safe or in the cloud. And should a fire ever occur, tell the ambulance chasers to fuck off.

Don't feel bad for me though. We didn't lose anything that truly matters and I learned some good lessons. Going through tragedy shows you what's really important in life.

My husband and anyone else in the house.
My handbag containing my insulin (I'm Type 1 diabetic) and test strips, wallet, passport etc.

.. and if it was within near reach of me I'd also grab my cosmetics kit- it's worth a lot of money!

Very true. In all honesty, I would be grateful if my husband and I, and our cats, got out without harm. That's enough for me.

    My pants, I sleep naked.

Then the rolling suit case under the bed. It has two changes of clothes, a roll of quarters, spare keys, a flashlight, and other stuff I might need in an emergency. all ready to go.

The fire proof box that has essential papers, and the three ring binder with all my certificates and things if I had time.
