    Default "Bigger" dancers

I consider myself one of the biggest girls in my club. I'm 5'9 so not only am I tall but I do weigh 170 lbs. I dont know my measurements but I am def a big girl, size 12 to be exact. I'm curvy with the implants to match.

Are you a bigger girl at your club? Whats you client type?

My best friend at work is on the shorter side but def a curvy girl like me, we both battle with the fat comments and self esteem issues. We like being big but it has its ups and downs.

I make my $ and I do my thing but I wonder sometimes besides "black clubs" are there really any girls out there that are larger?

If a club is letting you work there then have no fear. You are not too big. I used to work in a less than exciting club that hired almost anyone. Alot of the bigger girls made more $ than me.
I think whereas guys were pissed b/c I'm attractive and just assumed ( and rightly so) that they never had a shot with me, they would eat up the compliments the other chicks dished out. Plus I do not really drink and having low self esteem these chicks were often into "high party mode".
The thing I did not like was guys or girls in the club calling the bigger girls names. I don't care if they were making more $- different strokes for different folks. But there's always some dickhead out there giving the "pretty" girl a hard time b/c he wants to see her cry or get mad or whatever.
So I say just make your $ and it's all good.

Yeah, I hear you on that one. I'm a US12-14, and I guarantee at least once a show I get some dick in the audience heckling me. Of course, they get yelled at and told to hush up by other patrons, but Jesus Christ. Makes me want to run off stage and cry.

I was always a bigger girl. By non stripping standards I was tiny, but stripping I was huge. Mostly in my breasts but also tended to gain weight in my stomach (but not hips or butt). I also have large bones and when I was slim (I slimmed down to 100 pounds at 5'7) I looked anorexic. I've had my share of customers calling me fat and being rejected because I wasn't thin enough for the club.

Anyway, I noticed for me I had certain customers. Young white guys (early 20's) rarely liked me because I wasn't the stereotypical stripper. Neither did most young black guys because I wasn't huge buttwise. In general most of the Asian customers didn't prefer me either, they liked the skinny blondes because they were exotic to them. My best customers were black professionals and older white guys. I thought maybe this was just at one club, but I saw this pattern at every club I worked at. I know there were exceptions to the rule but in general this was how it was.

girls, you can come get dances from me anytime! You sound like just the type of girl I would go for.

I fall into that middle range for dancers-that awful limbo where im not big enough for the customers who go for that, and not small of enough for those mentioned by Kellydancer. It's so annoying to have to work twice as hard to get guys to buy dances. But I guess that has just made me a better hustler overall.

I see tons of "bigger" dancers making bank! Good grooming and hair is a must though. Big doesn't have to equal sloppy is what I told one of my friends that was concerned with her size.

One of the top-earners at my club is what you would consider a 'thicker' girl. She has all natural breasts, very curvy hips and knows how to work her ass. She is pretty short, I'd say maybe 5'3'', wears 8''+ heels and has no problems. I've heard maybe one guy my whole 3 months working there that she was 'bigger', no one complains, but our club has a huge variety of women in the first place. Most guys love a little extra, for the curves and boobs. Talk to everyone, especially if there is a shortage of thicker girls where you work, there's likely a guy looking for a girl with more figure.

I'm 5'7" and in the 160's - so probably very similar look to yours. I've actually never had a guy bring up my weight in a negative way since I've been dancing at this size. I've had a few comments like "You're a curvier gal, arn't cha?" and "it's okay, I like having something to hold on to" and "Thanks for the offer love, but I go for more petite women" but nothing outrightly mean...In fact, those are probably the worst comments I've heard. I think Canadian guys are just more polite and accepting - when I'm rejected it's not in a rude way.

I sell a lot of dances when I'm on my A-game. I think a LOT of men like this body type, but are too embarrassed to admit it. Size 12 isn't huge by any means, and can be healthy as long as you look after yourself. I think men just look for that breast-waist-hip ratio that seems appealing, and whether or not you look 'smooth' (no lumps or buldges). You pass on those fronts and it doesn't matter if you're a size 4 or 14.

That makes me sad and angry. There's a lid for every pot, if what's in front of you is not your taste, why do they have to know about it? People suck. I judge pretty women for a living (literally) and I have yet to say anything to make them feel bad about themselves. Are there some gals up there who you wonder what they were thinking by getting on stage? Sure, but so what? The only people who make themselves feel better by making others feel worse have poor self esteem.

I'm 5'7" and @ 135 pounds. I've danced pushing 160 though. And I have the implants to match. I've been heckled...but I've also heard guys heckling skinny girls ( "eat a sandwich scrawny") so guys who are assholes..are just assholes. And they know that a womans weight is usually a slam dunk place to hit if you want to hurt her.

I've been the biggest girl in the club and on set. I've not been hired for films because I'm not an anorexic 18 yr old. But the guys that like me LOVE me. I have the curves of a 50's pin up model.

Most of my best custies when I was dancing were older guys. Guys who didnt have the patience for the younger dancers (I'm 36, will be 37 in Aug and havent danced in @ a year and a half) and had fond memories (and usually preferences for) girls and movie stars from decades ago who were built more like me.

This is me. I'm curvy..but I'm NOT fat!

Hearing about you "larger" girls makes me more confident in myself. I was already confident but this was a nice boost. I think it's absolute bullshit that any man would heckle you guys, even if he's not into you. A real man would appreciate a woman for being a woman and at least have fun there even if they are not feeling it. If I had a club and some dude did that he's be out on his ass without hesitation.

The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

This thread makes me sad! I'm curvy, just really damn short. I'm only 4ft 9-10ish... no one can seem to agree! but have an hourglass shape, bubble butt and full D implants. I am proportioned like most taller girls that are Marilyn Monroe-ish in build. I have gotten heckled on stage for being "chunky" and also for being "anorexic." This is just something some insecure pricks do! Some men need to say nasty things to you because they have such a low opinion of themselves!

Hands down the hottest girl I EVAR saw (irl, a few SW'ers compete with her ) was a bartender at my old club. She got hit on constantly and had a totally smokin bod, every single guy begged her to dance and I would have nearly sold my soul to see her naked. One night I offered her my stuff to dance in and really offended her. She was tall and I was drunk and not thinking. She looked about the same size as me, but wore a 10 or so I think she said. I felt horrible for upsetting her, but still don't get why she didn't realize that being tall, she would have looked ridiculous if she wore the same size as someone a foot shorter. Imagine Jessica Alba's Sin City character with 4 inches off her waist, an inch or two added to the perkiest butt you've ever seen, a perfectly flat stomach (but not concave) and it's hard to me to guess chest size, but proportionally they were a bit bigger than mine but natural and perky as fuck. Half my fantasies today involve this girl. Today's media totally fucks with womens minds imho. Embrace your healthy, sexy as hell curviness! I looooove me some curves.

Now... by "Bigger" dancers do we mean bigger boned/curvy or a little on the chunky side? Because seriously? 5'7" and 135? 5'4" and 122? These are all optimal weights and body sizes. Reading these and hearing you all call yourselves "bigger" seriously makes me wonder what we're talking about.

I'm 5'4" and 150. Size 10. I'm about 10lbs over a "normal" weight range. But my weight is proportionally balanced with my bone structure and I have naturally large breasts. I've never gotten heckled for it on stage. Almost all customers I've sat with have adored my size and my curves.

Seriously, I would kill to be 125-130 at my height. That's not "big" at all. O_o

I think that is a healthy weight range for ANYONE between 5'0 and 6'0 ft. tall. I am only 5'0 tall and weighing in the 140'ish right now. I remember going through a really bad break up 3 years ago, barely eating 500 calories a day, and my weight got down to 119. You know what else, I was depressed and NO GUYS PAID ATTENTION to me because I was horribly depressed and it didn't matter that I only weighed 119. I get more attention from guys now than I ever did when I weighed less. It's because I am happy and proly too old to give a fuck

In my case, I mean that I was a more curvier girl. Not big by normal standards (I used to have non dancing friends tell me I had the perfect body because it was neither skinny nor chubby). I think at the heaviest I as dancing was around 145 but still do heavy for a few clubs.

Dont feel bad. A few years ago I was 150. Man that was a bad time. What pisses me off is that even at about 126 (today's weigh in) Im still called a thicker girl. I hate that reference. I have 800 cc implants a 27 1/2 in waist and 38 in hips..its very hard to find good fitting clothes...I hate that people think that maybe if i weighed a smaller amt Id be better off... I think 120 would be just right for my build when it comes down to it. But we r always our worst critic. In the real world im small but in the dancer world im a bigger girl...Those who think that can suck my $%&&&!

I think in different areas peoples' expectations for what they want to see on a runway varies...It sucks if u r working w someone who is considered skinny while u rnt as skinny..everyone is built differently...This is where the business is so tough. I hear customers mainly female ones- making awful comments sometimes (and)..U just got to smile and thank customers and keep moving..The show must go on...

And then there is the reverse when the customers dont like it when u r working w the "skinny" girl and they like u better..Then i feel bad for the "skinny" girl...Eh....sometimes its a no win...
