    Crossfingers Wigs?

I was wondering, do strippers wear sexy wigs? I got an awful haircut done by obvious ametures with a big chunk of hair I accidentally cut out of it trying to fix the damage...

Thus my hair looks awful and I'm unsure I would pass audition?!

So I was looking at wigs and saw that some are pretty sexy. I was wondering if it was allowed and if strippers do that on a regular basis ?

I figured they might use wigs even to disguise themselves should someone the stripper knows come into the club?

    Advice please!

    I've worn wigs before.
I just get scared doing upside down pole tricks. Plus, there were a few times I had a little too much to drink and the wig was all lopsided..lol
But here are two wigs I've worn....No one ever knew. (besides my friends/regulars who already knew what I looked like with short hair.)

I like them though...it's always fun to change things up.

If you're going to wear a wig go for one that looks more natural like a mono top wig or a lace front wig either human or synthetic. a good wig is going to be atleast $200 dollars + and will last you sometime. you will probably have to get it thinned out.

Avery, I had no idea those were wigs! When I saw your pics before I was all jealous of your cool looking long hair!

I have a wig that is sort of curly that I would definitely wear if and when I audition since my hair is super short, but I've been practicing different ways of pinning it so it stays on. Because whenever I dance with it (in front of the mirror at home, lol) and I flip my head up it flies off! It doesn't move as much if I flip my head slowly though. I'll have to keep practicing, because that is a sexy move I want to perfect!

If I knew where to get a good one I would put my two cent in. I use fake hair pieces to lengthen and to make a fuller look, I also like to add odd colors when I'm going somewhere with black light.

i prefer clip in extensions, much more secure. i may have done it wrong, but i tried a wig once, adjusted the straps tight and pinned it and it still flung off. ..hilarity and embarrassment ensued.

I use glue when I use a wig. It helps it stay on better and more securely. Or, I french braid starting at my left temple, and french braid all around my head like a turban, and then sew the wig on to the braid. Not a lot... just a few big stitches to keep it secure. Besides, if the thread is wrapped around a lot of hair, there's not a lot of hair breakage. I'm sure i didn't explain that right but I hope you get what I'm saying...

Also, I forgot to answer this. Haha. First idea is to try the braid idea from my previous post. Another thing i used to do is just flatten my hair and wrap it around my head like a turban, bobby pinning as I go. Then I put a wig cap over it (or a torn off knee high stocking) to keep it flat. It really works!

    Where did you get those?
I've been looking online @ voguewigs, they have one I like for around 38.00

I got them at a store in Vegas called The Beauty Supply Warehouse.
The first one was actually one of those half wigs. I just styled it to have bangs. They were both around $25 bucks.

I've found that the most reliable method of keeping a wig in place at work (for me) is to sew toupee clips around the edges inside the wig. Just do a search for toupee clips online; they'll cost about $2 each and you'll need at least 6 for each wig. This method also makes it much quicker to take the wig on and off, as you don't have to fool around with bobby pins.
