Sad to say, but I tried a new club last night and had my worst night to date.Just feeling sad about it... I am hoping that tonight and tomorrow and saturday will be better-gonna give a full 4 shifts before I pass judgement.

I'm sorry to hear thatI know how a bad night can affect my attitude for a week, especially in some place new. I hope it picks up for you! Keep us posted?
Aw I had many nights like that a few months ago at my old club. I know how bad nights can throw you off but i know you won't let itGive it a chance and see if the next few nights make up for that bad night. Good luck girl!

Last night was really bad for me too. Went home with $40 after tipout. Not my worst night ever (worst night ever was leaving owing house fee cause I couldn't even make that) but for sure my worst night well, probably since I've been back dancing, so lets say worst night in 3 months.
I don't know what has been going on lately, but our usually always at-least decently busy club has been DEAD for the last few weeks. Last Saturday night, we didn't have a single customer walk through the door between 2-9 pm. 7 hours without a single customer, which is NOT normal especially for a Saturday.
I don't think it's you, I think it's going around. It's pretty uncanny how I can have a bad night, come on here and other people are posting about having a bad night too. Same with good nights or weeks, every time I have a killer one, I come on here and people are posting "best night in a while" or whatever.....
Keep your head up, it's easier said then done, stay in the "zone" which is sooo important and try, try again. That's what I plan on doing. I'll work every day this week till I reach my goal.

Well...I just got off the phone with you...and you seem in much better spirits...
Like you said...you've NEVER walked NEGATIVE yet.
Its just like any business...sometimes the overhead is more than the profit. What's AWESOME about dancing is that (for the most part) its an immediately positive cash flow business.

^^ True. I used what little I made to buy a new microwave since mine decided not to work anymore lol.

^^Agreed.

That's true! Back in December, right before x-mas, someone in management got this "genius" idea to throw a VIP party. My understanding is the club was closed to any customer who hadn't been invited - so it was all the regulars of the house dancers. There were 28 dancers working that night (versus 15 normally), and about 3-4 dancers per customer - literally sitting at the same table. In 4 hours I didn't see a customer place a tip on any stage and didn't see any lap dances given. All the staff were in a bad mood. That club has been going through a lot of turmoil lately. However, I guess what that evening did provide was a way to make the regulars feel "special".
Don't you ever sleep?
Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

On another note: Mindset is SOOO important.
I've had two crappy nights back to back....and I can take 100% responsibility for them. The club was busy, the VIP was jamming...I just didn't do what it takes to be a SuperStripper. How ironic is that? I know what to do (I friggin wrote the book on it) but I just wasn't emotionally in the right space to actually DO the things I needed to do. My head wasn't in the game, and I pretty much just waited for guys to ask me and/or "wanna danced" them.
(for those of you who don't know me that well personally...I've been through a tough divorce and relocated several times in the past year)
Now that I'm in a better mindset (one day at a time as my therapist says) I can see it was an interesting experience...almost like I was going back in time 10 years to a time BEFORE I knew wtf I was supposed to be doing.
So today I am doing my Getting into the Zone activities...and I gotta feelin that tonight's gonna be a GOOD GOOD night!

Well this weekend was tons better-they have an after-hours thing and I make about half my money in those 2 hours-crazy.
It is tough to be in the right mindset on your first day at a new club-getting to know the flow of things can be intimidating, plus learning new rules, etc. I think maybe I psyched myself out.
Now to try for the weekdays...
