Default i love our management, they fired the extras girls

Haven't been to my club in a week, we had a meeting two weeks ago and the owner was discussing with the girls that he didn't want to see any more dirty dancing from the stage and if anyone was caught doing extras they'd be canned.

We had a new crop of dancers last night..a few of the previous girls , the stage dancing was quite different. wow imagine that..entertaining with sensual dance instead of dry humping a guy who is bent over the rail.

And I made excellent $$. So the dirty dancers can stick to their dollar tricks..but for the rest of us, I'm posting this because I am extremely impressed with our management and their efforts to keep things clean and legal..

I'm almost getting to the point of wanting to send "thank you" cards to good management!

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Awesome! I'm leaving the club I'm at now... It's always had a bad rep for "extras" but to be perfectly honest I've been there a year and didn't witness it until recently. The last few months it seems they're the only ones making money... Kudos to your management!

Agreed that this was a gutsy move on the part of club management to 'do the right thing' !

However, like every other business decision, there is likely to be a downside as well as an upside !

It will be curious to observe the results over the next few weeks as 'word gets around' that your club is now extras-free. Specific areas of interest would be ...

    - how many customers the club gains or loses
    - how much more money, or less money, each customer spends when visiting the club
    - any changes in dancer tipouts / percentages the club institutes
    - any changes in the number of dancers allowed per shift
    - overall effect on 'clean dancer' earnings potential

    please keep us posted !

Melonie, you are absolutely right! Results may be skewed a bit too because June is supposed to be one of the best months at the club.

And the other side is that the new dancers MAY end up pushing the limit on stage again.

We are really lucky to have a management that gives a shit, our boss is more respectful to me than other bosses in past non dance jobs have been. We joke..sure..but when it comes down to it he's a great guy. The assistant manager as well..he runs out to get food for us in a pinch He has a locker for the girls with tampons, extra shoes, and other emergency items

the thing is, yeah there are guys that want a dirty club. but there are still guys who just want to see pretty girls being happy and having fun and showing skin. those guys spend money. but they don't spend it at filthy clubs where the nice girls are all depressed from being treated like shit. clubs like that make those guys feel shitty. it isn't a fantasy world. it's a real world. a depressing real world.

it's like how some people won't adopt pets from shelters that euthanize. it makes them sad knowing that they can't save them all, so they just don't want to look.

only with naked girls. and they don't get euthanized. they just cry because they can't make enough stripping to pay their rent.

a lot of guys like clean clubs with happy dancers. now that guys can find sex for under 100, why would they go to a dirty strip club and pay more? at this poing, clubs have to change to appeal to the normal guys if they even want to stay afloat.
-love everyone but keep them far from your soul-

now that guys can find sex for under 100, why would they go to a dirty strip club and pay more?
forthright answer ... because paying a hooker is viewed as a demeaning concession by those guys, while 'f#@king a stripper' is viewed as a male 'accomplishment' by the very same guys. Yes I know this makes no logical sense ... but lots of guys have told me this.

clubs have to change to appeal to the normal guys if they even want to stay afloat
unfortunately, this viewpoint has a built-in list of potential problems. The first problem is the amount of club customer disposable income and the percentage of that disposable income that guys are willing to spend in a club (versus spending that disposable income on other things like mortgage payments, a big screen TV, a couple of nights out in regular bars, etc.). Where 'sexual satisfaction' is concerned, regular working guys might be willing to spend $150 out of their total of perhaps $300 per week in disposable income at a strip club. But if we're only talking about 'eye candy', the same guys may only be willing to commit $30. Thus for the club / dancers to break even in the absence of 'sexual satisfaction', in theory the club needs to attract perhaps 5 times as many regular working guy customers to attract the same 'pool' of total customer dollars. And in point of fact, in the latter case the club benefits more than the dancers because every additional customer means an additional cover charge and additional bar sales ... leaving typical customers with just enough money remaining to buy one private dance. This of course theoretically means that from a dancer earnings perspective that the number of customers must increase by more than 5:1 in order for the dancers to earn the same amount of total dollars from club customers who buy one private dance versus customers who were willing to drop $100+ for 'extras'.

The exception of course is upscale clubs that are able to appeal to the relatively small segment of club customers whose weekly disposable incomes are far higher than $300. But satisfying this relatively small segment of upscale club customers typically also limits possibilities to a relatively small segment of dancers ... dancers with phenominal faces, dancers with near perfect bodies, dancers with upscale social skills etc. ... that an upscale club will allow to work in that club. Thus 80% of typical club customers, and 80% of typical dancers, are 'excluded' from the upscale club business model.

Back to the original point, I sincerely hope that this particular case of club management deciding to 'clean up the act' translates into a sustainable business model as opposed to a slow downward economic spiral for the club and its dancers. Time will tell I suppose.
