Have you ever tried white vinegar hair rinses? It's quick, easy, cheap, and it's good for most hair types (it won't harm colored hair, but I'm not sure if it would be smart to do this on perm'd hair)
Our hair and scalp puts up with a lot of abuse, from gels to heat to dyes to extensions, and even excessive washing. And unfortunately, a lot of residue can be left behind that standard shampooing can't get rid of.
I use white vinegar at least once a month in the shower. You only need a small handful for short hair, but up to a 1/2 cup for longer hair.
Shampoo and condition your hair like normal. But before you rinse your conditioner, pour the vinegar over your hair, work it through your hair and massage it into your scalp with your fingertips. Then rinse the vinegar and your conditioner out very thoroughly.
Step out and dry/style as normal.
The vinegar strips all that unseen residue from your hair, leaves it incredibly soft and shiny, gives it a ton of movement, and even kills seemingly harmless fungus on your scalp that can inhibit hair growth, so it can stimulate hair growth.
Your hair WILL smell pickly until it dries, but you can use your favorite body spray to help mask it if you're too unsure.

The most annoying salon service everrrrrr. I am so using vinegar on my dog... her dander is terrible. She's actually a mess but I love her... sheds a ton, pees nervously, dander, bad farts, chews everything, etc... but she's freakin adorable. She'll be due for a bath soon so I'll let ya'll know if it helps.
On my way to being the Bitch Goddess of your dreams... or nightmares.
