    Default Cleaning Shoes

So, I noticed pretty quickly that our shoes get pretty dirty really fast. I started dancing cuz I'm trying to pay off a ridiculous amount of debt and save for a road trip (I need to make AT LEAST between $4000 and $5000 profit within the next 2.5 months) so even on $400 nights that doesn't mean I can afford to really buy a new pair of shoes. One of the ladies at my club said that with the clear plastic ones I can just throw them in a front-loader wash (of course don't dry them!)... has anyone tried this? I'm so afraid they'd crack! Or is there any other way? I have Pleaser shoes that are clear and the part where my foot sits was white, now it's white/brown/grey lol.

Waaahh NO! Don't put ANYTHING with a suedette inner sock in the wash!!

Even if you don't dry them...and let them dry out naturally, the inner sock will go rock hard! I've done it and it is really bad news!

Even the ones with plastic inner linings....the glue will get all messed up and they will peel...and then you'll never fix them 'cos the plastic base is hollow, and you'll never stick them back on the edges without glue running down the insides or outsides.

The best way, is to get a really soft cloth and some washing powder dissolved in very hot water. Soak the cloth, wring it out thoroughly, then 'brush' the dirty areas lightly until the dirt comes off on the cloth. This may take a while, but it's by far the safest way.

Then let them dry by an open window. The suedette inner sole should stay soft.

With plastic inner soles you can just wash them with the cloth a bit wetter. Dry them the same way.

They won't be as good as new....but they will be an improvement.

Vinegar works really well, too. Take an old toothbrush and scrub the dirty part with vinegar and/or baking soda.

Baby wipe them down every night and they will stay cleaner longer. A tooth brush and tooth paste are good for stubborn stains as well. Spray on carpet cleaner if your desporate for cloth or suede soles, but they will never be the same and you should get a replacement soon. New shoes tell a man your worth your money. If your shoes are shit the money slows.

Run them through the top rack of the dishwasher.

Then put them outside in the sun to dry.

    I've done this for years.
