As the title asks. How long after you started? How did you learn new tricks? Did you fall on your face?

I think it took me about a month to learn the upside down trick. I've just recently began being really proficient with the pole.

I started twirling-both feet on the ground, one arm up on the pole-as soon as I was hired, along with other basic things like sliding down the pole to sitting.
I started learning and doing some spins about a month into stripping.
Still working on upside-down and holds-I'm scared of those! I have issues going upside down...

It took me awhile to learn tricks. Probably a few months. I would always practice when it was slow. I did jump on right away. It just took time to perfect my tricks.
Now I have to start all over because now it's all spinning poles out here.
They're really scary!

Yeah every time I switch from stationary to spinning it messes up my routine!!

It took me years to learn all the stuff I know now,but I started practicing on the pole after a month or two, because I was an awful conversationalist and soooo shy, and I knew a good stage show would be the only thing I could do well and get custys attention with!

My first club had a spinning pole, which scared the shit out of me, and completely deterred me from even touching it for about 4 months. I got over it, though, and got pretty good, pretty quickly. It took me a -while- to go upside down, though, because, again, I'm a big scardey cat.![]()

Yeah I'm super scared of heights!

It took me about a month and a half....and right around the third or fourth time I pulled a muscle in my back and realized that I made more money selling $20 lapdances than I did doing pole tricks for a few dollars...I stopped inflicting injuries on myself and started making money ;P

The whole time I was dancing I thought the same way. It wasnt until I stopped dancing that I started Poling. I was all about the lap and show, had 3 spins and 2 tricks that lasted me years, LOL.
Im hopefully going back soon though and the girls are telling me that customers are becoming impressed with pole tricks these days. Good job I know some now, I guess.

It took me about 3weeks and afther hurting my ass ,legs in between and everything else im good to go now love it lol

I danced for 4 years. I didnt learn, or TRY to learn the pole until my last 6 or 7 months. When I started, I could climb all the way to the top, then wouldnt know what to do, so I had on for my life and simply slid back down...legs squeaking on the way down. lol
When I left, I was the fastest climber, but was only able to slide down with one arm, and I was able to flip upside down and slide down holding on with one leg.
My asset was always my ass and the things I could do with it. . . so the pole wasnt a huge interest of mine, or of the guys here in d south.. But what I did learn was fun!

Oh never fell...LOL I held on TIGHT!

I took pole dancing classes before I even auditioned. So...negative three months? Seriously, though, I really highly suggest taking pole dancing classes before and during your career. They're ridiculously good exercise (cuz you're basically lifting your own body weight for an hour, using nothing but your core, arms and back) and they're very informative. They're also a good place to practice where money is not on the line.

I thought the same thing lol.![]()

Yes that is my butt. See why I made it down here doin other than climbin a pole???? lol

I jumped on the first night and bruised my right leg from toe to thigh. IT WAS HORRIBLE! BUT I got the misery out of the way in the first two weeks and am now (6 weeks in) pretty confident climbing, and doing a few simple tricks, and one more complicated upside down thing. My latest accomplishment/endeavor has been to transition between "pole tricks". We had only 4 girls, so had lots of practice time on sun and mon. It canbe a big money maker in our club on the night shift, but I do better on days if I just flirt with the men while I am on stage and make eye contact.
OH, I feel one time after I had 3 drinks...itwas really more of a slid to the bottom and bumped my head, more emotionally damaging than physically. Even that didn't take long to recover from. I just flipped over and giggled.

I've been dancing on and off for almost seven years. I didn't start using the pole until three years ago when I hadn't danced at all for almost four years. I took a pole dancing class. I've never fallen on my face but I've definitely fallen on my butt. If you're a fast learner girls at your club can probably just teach you, otherwise I'm not a fast learner with that and I found the classes to be very helpful.
