Ehh sometimes, but in this case I don't think what Viola Strings said was critical, she made a good point...some girls are more comfortable with private parties, it'd be worth a shot.

Seriously ladies, this girl is pretty new 'round old SW, let's not scare her away completely.

Much to learn, young stripper has.

This, IMO, was way more offensive than anything.

The word rape gets thrown around way too much these days. It's like a slap in the face to all the women out there who have suffered actual sexual abuse.

Hey ladies, thanks for all your responses. A few things, from my perspective:

    1) I am new, not a clue what rates may or may not be fair but it seems to me that they're pretty broad, depending on the city, what (if anything) you're taking off and even the economy. I will be better prepared and think out pricing for the future but, in all honesty, I'm new. My rookie dance was def more beneficial for me to just do it for practice in front of someone who is a friend- rather than say, a drunk customer that scares me right off the damn stage with his dirty looks at my ametuer moves, lol. $150 is better than a kick in the head, right? lol.

    2) It all comes down to comfort level for everyone I guess but I dont understand why it's so creepy to dance for a friend. Yes, he would have given me money if I needed it but it wasn't like I'm homeless & holding a sign on the street corner. I don't need a hand out- financially, I'm straight. But, just like I wouldn't ask my accountant friend to do my taxes for free or my computer tech friend to fix my computer for free, my friend paid for a dance. Sure, my friends woulld work for free for me but I'm not gonna let them. I knw he wasnt trying to low ball me, he just didn't know the going rate just like me. No biggie. I'm not gonna feel slighted after the fact.

So, yes I'm a lil baby chick in the world of stripping. lol. I'm grateful for all the insight and advice on here. I don't have any bad feelings about the rate he paid at the time or that he was a friend but it's just as a few of you have pointed out- it was a learning experience So, thanks again!

    good for you!

and for any naysayers... don't worry about them.. if the arrangement worked for you and you walked away feeling empowered then it was a great experience. Everything is relative.

I get a lot of shit on here because I live in a location where $300 a night is banking, and my average of $180-200 is a good night. To me, that's amazing money but most of the girls here give me shit for thinking that, saying "How can you be satisfied with that? $300 is shit money!" etc, etc. Every girl has a different opinion of what "banking" is based on her living style and location.

What's important is that YOU are happy with how much money you're making. If you're making enough to support yourself and still have a bit of spending cash afterwards, and YOU don't feel like you're being cheap, then that's what matters. Don't listen to what other girls say.

On the other hand, MY club charges $150 for an entire HOUR of VIP. And guess what? The dancer doesn't see a single CENT of that money. We're expected to sell dances and drinks to make our money off of VIP. Needless to say, our club actually discourages girls from trying to sell a VIP. Even in Champagne room (two hour buyout), the dancer gets roughly 40% of the money. That means if I sell a bottle of Dom Perignon, I only get $125 out of that sale for TWO HOURS. And that's the most expensive champagne the club offers! The cheapest bottle, the dancer only gets $25 of the sale for two hours of time!

So $150 for about half an hour, I'd say is fucking awesome money! You go, girl!

And I've danced for friends, too. Danced for a friend from middle school on his 21st birthday, and an ex boyfriend (that I was still on good terms with) had never gotten a lap dance, so I took him back and rocked his world.

Gotta run but I had to comment on this.

$300 a day for me would be most definitely shit money.
I would cry and probably go and find a regular job or something.
HOWEVER, You do make a point. It's all about what makes you happy.
I'm an escort/camgirl, there really is no comparison, I make more money than my stripper friends. How much do I need to live? about 2500 a month for bills and an extra $1500 a month for savings/splurges and travel AND another 1k a month for business expenses. Alot of people freak out when I tell them those figures but that's MY lifestyle. I have friends that just dance and make $200 a night and to them they banked and I'm like but 1400 a week for them is more than enough FOR THEM to live on. So yes I agree that if you can support yourself and still have extra for fun/travel/whatever it is you like to spend your money on that's all that matters.

Ok see, in a way I'm still pretty new so Malaya's number while kick ass are CRAZY high to me. But thats because for the last couple of years I've been living paycheck to paycheck. If I can make $300 a day camming AFTER the site takes their cut then I am soooo going to cash my check, throw my money on my bed and roll around in it naked because to me that's big money. More than I've ever made before in my life!
You ladies can't forget about the girls that are just clawing their way up from being screwed over at minimum wage because higher paying employment opportunities just havn't been their for them lately. To us/them $300 a day is Mana from heaven! That's over TRIPPLE what I make after taxes in a 9 hour shift at the weight loss clinic. God.Send.
