Hmmm, never heard that term before. I suppose I'm fortunate to work where I do.

It's called a cut throat and it is really rude and should not be tolerated. If you are with a customer and another dancer squeezes in while you are working on him you need to confront her right away. If you do not, she will continue to cut throat you, thinking you are a pushover.

A dirty look may work sometimes. Verbally expressing your anger to her in the dressing room and making clear that she is not to do that to you again would work too. Some managements do not tolerate this behavior and you can actually report cut throats.

It is especially helpful if you are more attractive than the cut throat. If a less attractive one comes to you and competes for your customer, just turn up the flirting to high and your customer will lose interest in her, probably taking you for a private dance. This embarrasses the cut throat, in that it diminishes her once inflated confidence that enabled her to move in on your customer in the first place. Good luck!

At my club it's considered good practice to ask both the dancer and the customer before sitting down. Ask the dancer because you're invading on her territory and ask the customer because ultimately it's his money to spend.

And it's only really acceptable to do this if it's extremely dead in the club.

    You mean a cock-blocker?

I have to agree with girlfromipanema it's cut-throat to cock-block.

Honestly, I don't even think it's acceptable when you ask both. I mean if another stripper asks me in front of the customer if I'm okay with her sitting down, I basically have no choice but to smile and say "Of course I don't mind!"

This never happened to me. The CLOSEST it came to was when I was sitting with 2 guys and one girl joined the other guy which is fine since I was only talking to one.

I think when you're with a customer and you're working on him and another girl "joins" it is RUDE. Unless he is a FRIEND, or someone you know that does not buy dances and is not work related, then whatever. But when youre working FUCK NO. Even asking "Can I join you two?" WTF for? For more time wasting or so the guy can pick the one just joined while you were working up on him. HELL NO. I would find that rude.

If a girl does that again, and you have no choice but to let her stay.. Then quickly convice the guy to go upstairs with you into the VIP, even offer him a free test drive for 1/2 song or something to get him away. Or just ignore the girl and focus all your attention on the guy. If you can say no what I would do even before I see a girl about to see sit down is look at her in a mean way as not to approach in any terms.. if she does come up and asks, tell her no sorry we're about to go into the VIP, or we're busy.

I agree, I would be pretty taken aback if this ever happened to me. But I don't think it would make a girl look bad to say something like "Sorry, but I'm having too much fun getting to know him one on one," and hope the customer follows your lead.

The closest I've come to being the victim of this is kind of a gray area, a customer came in who is a club regular, no particular loyalty but buys dances from lots of girls. I was sitting with him and another girl he also buys dances from hopped onto his lap and blocked me from his view.

You have a choice. When a dancer asks "May I join you?" say:

Right now we want some one on one time...

Why don't you come back later we're not finished talking yet...

I don't know why management at some places put up with cock-blockers like this. Most clubs I've ever worked at do not tolerate it.
