$250 is good money? Since when?
$250 is good money? Since when?

I think it depends on your club, the customers, where you live.
Everyone has their own idea on "good money".
I'd be happy if I left with $250 in 7 hours.
I don't think the OP was necessarily saying that $250 was GOOD money, she was just probably trying to make the point that she can still do reasonably better than the girls who are "skinny" sometimes (The OP did state she was trying to lose weight and tone down too by the way).
And also it seems like the OP was only asking for input about the Meg comparison...not necessarily her weight or glasses (but both of those factors do come into play when visualizing the character of Meg on family guy- so I think that's "fair game") and by posting a picture the OP was kind of opening of an unintentional can of worms. Anyway, I think some of the posts in this thread are kinda harsh (but honest) and should be looked at as CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from one stripper to another fellow stripper.

What is "good money" changes from club to club, state to state and stripper to stripper. No need to judge a girl on that. Instead of making her feel negative about it, giving her some positive suggestions with a positive vibe...that makes a stripper money. No stripper in a nasty mood is going to have a good steady Hustle.
Let's just keep it positive.![]()

I agree, loose the glasses and if you dont loose the glasses please get a more flattering pair of glasses.
Just try it- it cant hurt. You have pretty eyes so frame them better!
I'd love to be making the same money as the OP.And my eyes are funny about glasses too, only very very certain pairs don't look super weird on me. Autumn Lily has put in major crazy effort lately and her body just keeps on improving, I am mucho proud of her.

I can see the Meg resemblance, and I agree it's the glasses and the hair, I think. I would definitely let my hair to continue to grow out, and get a pair of glasses specifically for stripping. I am one of the only girls to wear glasses, and they help me a lot. I've done contacts and glasses, and glasses are better. But I am picky about my stripper frames-I go for black frames that fit my face shape.

Maybe, but it's not always so easy to find a "normal" job.
Plus if you have a family a normal job doesn't always give you the freedom of a schedule like stripping does.
No, I, personally cannot do that and yes, I am deadly serious. Stage shows and private parties, or jobs I can just as easily pick up and set down, are the only jobs that work around my disability. I can't work more than a few times a year, so yes, I'd give a limb to be making $200 a night as I currently make less a week.

I've been told that I resemble Lois from 'Family Guy' ... well at least I resemble Lois after a particular guest arrived for dinner ...
This thread is great. Real life Meg. Does no one remember the episode where Meg gets a make-over of just blonde hair, no glasses, and lots of make-up and she's like a bombshell? Meg isn't really ugly, its just a social commentary.

I'm gonna try and get some different frames. I've considered it for awhile anyway. I just don't like the idea of wearing contacts. That's just me, though.
I gotta head to work here in a bit, so I took a pic of me with and without glasses. The lighting in my bedroom sucks but you at least have an idea.

In what city? Certainly not Wichita, KS. I know this for a fact. I've known plenty of people who have bartended and waited at busy/fancy restaurants and bars. They said they averaged $400 in tips a week. I make $6-800 a week dancing (PART TIME, mind you), and I'm only doing it for the summer. Most of the full-time dancers in my club make $1000-1200 a week. My big sister made $1500 a week when she danced when the economy was great from 98-2003 here.
I'm not doing this to support myself for the rest of my life, I don't want to be a professional stripper so I probably don't try as hard as a lot of the full-time dancers. Would I benefit from programs like stripperwealth and applying myself that hard? Possibly. But my point is I'm happy where I'm at and how much money I'm making, and that's what matters to me.

Wow, you look really different in those pics then from the original pic. (probably because I'm not on the computer....lol)
You look beautiful either way, but I have to say I like the pic without glasses better. To me, it makes you look younger.
I think you should wear what makes YOU feel comfortable and confident. If you like the glasses, wear them. Good luck tonight!
Yeah, definitely let the hair down and it'll frame your face nicely - and square/rectangular frames will add some planes and angles in the right places. If you had a square face and sharp cheekbones I'd suggest round frames, but you're an oval like me and those big round eyes just add more curves to the face! It's like haircuts - use to your advantage to even out your face.![]()

WTF is going on in your room?! This thread is so funny.
...so instead of addressing the replies sent to you, you jump all over someone's housekeeping? Seriously? Seriously?

I still think you're adorable in an all american way.
Here's what I would do to make your look more marketable and less meg.
Ditch the glasses. If you really want to wear them, get some secretary looking ones. I promise if you slap some concealer on, no one will notice your dark circles.
Let your hair down, and do loose curled away from your face waves. Also, get some clip in extensions. They are really really easy to make. But whatever you do, start wearing your hair down.
Lose the bright makeup. It looks harsh against your face. try something from this list: http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...+tutorial&aq=1
or something like this:
that look is really easy. Soft lid color - bronze or grey, strip lashes on top, bronzer and a light pink blush. Blend your lines on your makeup. It just looks sexier.
Get a Kevyn Aucoin book and play with it! There's some awesome ideas in there.
I will say that EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. of my great money nights is with either a bronze or a purple smokey eye. Those colors pop almost every skin tone.
^Oh God, bronze. That's the only eyeshadow I've ever hit pan on. Shit is so versatile, ah loves eeet.

Wow you look amazing without the glasses! It makes a huge difference. You def don't resemble meg anymore!

Woah, this thread is weird.
Autumn Lily, I think you look lovely in the most recent photo's, you don't need to change your look unless you feel the need too. You're beautiful as is, and I think the makeup you did is really cool. $250 nightly is fine for where you're living, and where you're at right now in life. Some girls sure are being catty as hell about in this thread and it's boggling my mind. O.o You know I think you're a smart chick with a great personality, and that counts for more in this business than long hair and big boobs (although those don't hurt either).
Hope you do well tonight! XOXO!

you can look at our comments that 250$ is not good money in one of two ways... way number one is you can take it negatively and get insulted and defensive and say that in your area it is good because some 'barbies' say they make 80$ a night. or you can look at it positively that if you change a few things and up your game, you have the chance to make 500 a night. if i were you , i would look at it the second way.
you are relatively new. if this was the highest point of your sales abilities, that would be depressing. its not. nor should it be. i remember when i started i had short blue hair... and keep in mind i started in cleveland which was hit harder by the recession than almost every other city in the states, aside from maybe detroit. i was like you, averaging about 250 when i switched to my upscale club that became my home club. well eventually i 'sold out' and changed my looks and my game... and guess what, my earnings went up. my average was slightly under 500 a night over the summer after i switched it up, and this was after the 80$ of late fees that i paid on top of everything else since i was always late after my research job (which was also a full time job). so without the late fees it would have been over 500 a night. and at the time i thought that was amazing, but looking back on it i wince a little bit because had i had more faith in my ability to entertain men for an hour at a time, i would have sold rooms by the hour instead of hte half hour and my average probably would have been about 700 a night.
so do you see what i am getting at here? there is always room for improvement. and as you dance longer you will look back on your newbie days and see this. perhaps the way some posts were written in this thread was harsh, down to unnecessarily so (the housekeeping comment was off topic for sure), but just because the posts might have bitten your ego a bit doesnt mean you shouldnt step back and try to weed out some of the useful truth from them. then later you can come back on here and brag about your average being 500 a night or whatever you manage to milk out of the PLs.
btw i think you look MUCH prettier without your glasses.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.
