Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 50-year-old Graham-area man Friday after he was shot in the leg by his alleged victim’s defender.
Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said the Graham man choked his 37-year-old girlfriend late Thursday, prompting a 911 call and a manhunt. The man fled from deputies and eluded an overnight search by a police dog.
Early Friday, the woman returned to the home in the 24500 block of 107th Avenue Court East to retrieve some belongings. She brought a friend, 36, for protection. The friend was armed.
The Graham man was waiting, reportedly armed with a can of “bear Mace,” Troyer said. He attacked the woman again. Her friend drew the gun and told the other man to stop. He didn’t.
“The guy put a couple rounds in the ground first and warned” the suspect, Troyer said. “The suspect kept assaulting the female, so he shot him.”

Too bad more women don't protect themselves from such animals, but at least this women didn't go back home alone to get at best beaten, or worst, killed by this POS.
