    Default New job! woo!

Okay, so I'm not REALLY a newbie, but I haven't danced in a year because I moved and just got hired again today & start tomorrow! In other words, I feel like a newbie again. I am super nervous (for nothing, I'm sure) but I am packing my bag and trying to get as much together for tomorrow as I can (I requested the day shift, so I have to be there early-ish). Has anyone else taken a gap? Was it easier than you thought to go back, or harder?

I'd say it was harder because the industry had changed so much. You've only been gone a year though, so it probably won't be too bad. I always get nervous starting at new clubs though.

Not at night...that's when the stars have rather better things to do. They're coming out, shining, that sort of thing.

Right?? I feel so silly because I've done this a thousand times before but it is still nerve-wracking to learn a whole new club...

Everyone gets nervous, and esp when its a new club; new rules, new layout and other things that come in mind. Since you took a year off, I would not worry about it... Go in and get settled in and comfy, it could take an hour, a whole day, or maybe a week, but when your get comfy you wont even worry. When I even take a week off, I loose my hussle and become lazy, not sure what a year can do, but as soon as you can get your groove back, talk to the custies and make the money everything will be the same as when you danced before. A day shift will prob make you feel better than night, so get prepared, who knows you might even stay the night?

You guys were right, it was tough to get back in the groove of hustling, and there is DEFINITELY less money to be made than what I'm used to, but all in all I didn't do so bad. hopefully I can get back on my game soon enough!
