Smiley Best body makeup for bruises and stretch marks?

Hi everybody, I am starting my second week as a private party dancer and loving it!! It is lots of fun, the girls are low key and low drama, the drivers are great, and I'm making good money.

However, my legs are covered in bruises! And I also have stretch marks on my lower calves (strange place I know, I was extremely ill as a child and my skin just stretched like wet tissues). Does anyone know of any good body cover up or makeup that works well? I saw a commercial for right to bare legs and Ive been wanting to try it but if there is something that works better than that then I'd like to use it. Or how about Sally Hansen airbrush legs? does that work?

    thanks a bunch ladies!

Get Sally Hansen Airbrush legs. They make it in different skin tones. It's waterproof, so it is kind of a pain in the ass to remove - combination of of soap and baby oil, and just wash yourself under a shower with a loofa (sp?). It works well. I generally spray it and then rub it in, and it works well. I let it air dry for good 5 or 10 minutes after I rub it on, just so that it can dry completely and I don't get it on my clothes. After that it won't get on anything. It's slightly pricey, but I can make one can last me 3 or 4 uses since I don't apply a super thick coat. Covers up bruises and random stretch marks on my boobies really well.

Is that like a spray tan or something? I've been considering this but I don't want to end up looking all stripey.

It is like spray tan, but if you spray it and then rub it in like lotion it will not look stripey or orange. It is more like waterproof foundation for your body that doesn't come off on clothes or stage, or anything. It works. I was skeptical until I tried it. They make it in different skin tones, so that you can match. makes your skin look smooth, and it is pretty slimming, visually.

thank you guys for the help!! I have some stretch marks on the upper left and right corners of my tits and also have the healing stretch marks on my hips that're red. (uck!) Anyway, this really helps because I was skeptical of that airbrush stuff too...did not want to look like a orange striped zebra-woman! haha!

I'll at least give it a shot!

if the stretch marks are still red, you have more of a chance of making them disappear. I recommend strivectin stretch mark cream, I think you can get it at Bloomingdale's. It's pretty pricey but lasts forever and is really good. For covering, I think Dermablend is alright, but it's so hard to match the color right.

I concur with the Sally's spray tan! I used it for the first time and it's INCREDIBLE. It didn't completely cover my stretch marks on my legs or the blemish marks on my chest (chest acne, blegh), but it toned them down significantly to the point that I don't imagine they'll be at all noticeable under the club lights.

I swear by Arnica (both the pills and the ointment) which you can get at Whole Foods. I feature dance and then take long breaks so my skin never gets use to it and I bruise so badly, but with this I look fine even after a couple days back to dancing.

I used to rave about DermaBlend until I found Physicians Formula, which is cheaper & works better. I use the concealer twins. The green/skin tone concealer works really well for covering bruises, especially if you use it with some Ben Nye castor seal & regular face powder.

Arnica is great to avoid bruising & to get rid of bruising. When I work I take some asprin/tylenol & arnica pills before work, then when I come home I take both again & apply arnica gel anywhere that I get sore or tend to bruise.

I love the airbrush legs, not stripey or orange or anything ..BUT..not only is it a pain to apply it every day (or whenever you want to) but it WILL rub off on your clothes, outfits, and yes, guys laps. It will. Good for dancing? Not so much. Day at the beach? Sure

i gave up on derma blend. it does indeed cover really good but i had a hard time keeping it on through out the night. i put the cover up on and let it dry and then follow it up with the finishing powder and some hair spray but it still rubs off. *sigh* oh well.
