I used to take this road, btw nearly everyday driving into Springfield to go to work. It is NOT like crossing a neighborhood street!

What the fuuuuck. I think the parents are going to LYNCH her.
Get the fuck off my harbl, yo'.

this is the exact reason u really have to b careful of who u leave ur kids with. although i doubt parents had ne idea this was going on. i think the woman is an idiot for thinking it was okay to have the gaggle of kids cross a huge busy street. i see parents with their kids crossing busy streets all the time but they dont have 10 kids to one adult.
that being said, the U.S. is not very walker friendly. most places barely have side walks ne more which sucks.

^ Its not just a bust street its a highway.

I'm not familiar with this particular road/highway. But I would simply add that teachers,
teachers aides and crossing guards oversee large numbers of children crossing a variety of
roadways, all over our country, everyday. Also, I know I'm extra careful when children are
present as are most drivers. So...maybe bitch slapping is a bit much.

From the video it looks like they are jay walking.
Nothing is wrong with crossing at the intersection with kids. I used to live in Toronto where many people do not own cars and there are plenty of idiot drivers and 4 lane (4 each direction with divider in center) minor highway/streets. Daycares cross the street with 10+ kids in tow all the time. It's just a fact of city life. They even ride the subway with the kids (even during rush hour).
That said they are very strict about head counts before/after each crossing and going on the subway. Also there is a limit to how many kids to how many staff. So a group of ten would require at least 2 staff if not three. They follow guidelines and from what I see kids walk in pairs holding hands and there is a staff at the front of the line as well as one at the back with sometimes one in the middle. They also have to wear daycare t-shirts while out in public (I was in daycare myself when this rule came in and our daycare got a bunch of green shirts with daycare name and number).
So I see nothing wrong with daycares crossing the road AT the intersection. As long as they are safe with the children and properly staffed.
