    Duh Dropping a regular customer?

I have a regular that comes in every time I work. Although he doesnt spend a crazy amount of money, he is good for a guaranteed $100 everytime I go in. The problem is, is that he is really needy. Im having a problem leaving him to go do dances for other customers when he just wants to talk after the dances are finished. Its fine on a slow day for me to stay with him extra time to chat, but on a busy day its best for me to continue making rounds.

The last time I went in, he left in a huff because I told him after the dances were finished that I had 2 tables already waiting on me and that I had to go. On that night I had 3 regulars show up at the same time and the other two were getting pissed because I wasnt showing up at their tables fast enough. Concequently, one of them left and I lost money.

How do I back out from the long conversation gracefully and still keep him happy? Or should I just drop this particular customer?

    Uuuugghhh...I have this problem.

Could you use the club as an excuse? Maybe claim that the managers don't like it when the girls sit with customers for too long (when not in VIP)?

As for me, I usually just explain to my regular that even though being with him makes me forget that I'm at work, I do have to get back to work after we're done playing. But it's not a perfect explanation for sure.

You may not take it cause I havn't been a stripper yet.. but as a taxi dancer, I tell them at the very beginning that I have to make talk and work to keep being here, money is the only thing the management thinks of. If they care about my company maybe they should take me to vip so I don't get dirty looks. They start feeling like they need to save me but try to keep it in club and tell them they don't need to come in if they don't have the money. I find they they come in more and try to be your big spend. But I know little of the strip club, I know what to do and stay out of trouble but I havn't been fully in the drama.

I know it might look like its not dropping but I find it to be a nice way to walk them to the door or to pay more.

"Oh sweetheart, I'm sorry about this, but I really have to go. You know how much I enjoy playing with you, and we have such great pillow talk afterwards, but I have XYZ due tomorrow/the manager PROMISED one of his friends I'd come dance/the DJ is calling me to the booth for a music consult/my grandmother is on fire. I can't wait to see you again next week though... maybe you could come a little earlier when I have more time to play?"

If he doesn't understand that you're at work, than I say fuck him. At the end of the day, the songs you waste trying to get away from him are money youre burning. The customers that leave because of him are money youre burning. The time you spend later in your shift thinking about lost money, pulls you out of your zone, and you sell less effectively. On a super slow day, 100 dollars might be worth all that, but if you have tables waiting, cut your losses and go. "Loyal" customers have a shelf life, and this might be the end of his if hes costing you $.

I'm totally having this problem, too, except that my customer will buy dances periodically so I have to keep sitting with him or else he'll get dances from the other girls. Some days I definitely make more money because he's there, but I'm not sure how it evens out in the long run.

Some customers aren't worth the hassle, I can't stand guys that get possesive and clingy drives me nuts!! We aren't dating, just enjoy the dances and relax lol

Ok problem solved. I actually have a few customers like this and I tell them if they want more time with me they have to come in slow periods when theres not many people like at the beginning of my shift. I told him that managment gets mad if I dont move around the room enough when its busy. Now when its slow I have a good start to my day

As for the customer that this thread was about-dropped him. He was getting too possesive. Didnt want me to go onstage, wanted me to leave the customers I was sitting with as soon as he walks in the door, tried to play the me and the other dancers against eachother, and pressured for OTC. $100 per vist-Not worth it. Good riddance

cliny regulars are a good thing! First this means you did something right your getting guys hooked on you!

It's all in how you handel them.

i have to go talk to these others guys for a while but i will be thinking of you BRB.

they know what your job is but they have feelings for you know cause you played them well. Juggle them and know play them harder!

Drop a guy who pays never! Make him jelous and show him he needs to pay more!

This is very difficult to manage. I had this problem too, and my regular would not see me for 2months after I explained that I did not have extra time any longer. He payed quite well, however was monopolizing my time, and I just could not take it anymore. Yes, I made money, but was putting too much time into it. He eventually came back, however still tries to play little mind games. I simply am subscribing to the fact that time=$

Would a therapist spend free time chatting, or a business person that is getting payed by assignment or hour? NO So, I refuse to spend precious time for free.

Of couse you dont want to waste alot of free non paid time. as you say hes playing mind games with you ,you play mind games with him back.

there is a way to handel all the diff types of regulars you have without getting mad at them and making them feel you don't want to be with them.. teaching them they have to spend more to keep you longer i guess is a art because you cant be rude about it and think its going to work.

You really can do it, i have done it year after year by playing games.

I never say the ckub makes me go around that sound like a cop out to me and he will know its something you are making up..

I have to go do a few dances with other customers you know how it is but i will be right back to you friend, i will miss you.. silly shit that works on men and if he gets mad say this well i have to make a certain amount of money here each night just like you do at your job and i like you to much to look at you and ask for more money!!! Your not a customer to me..

This line works on my needy pain in the ass guys!! the fact you are telling him you need more money but you dont want to take it from him can make him open his wallet up to spending more! Plus you feed his ego with he means more to you- play the game!

    Sweey pie talk later

^ Yeah, that really is great advice. Allows you to use the 'M' word (money), tell him what you need, and yet completely turn the tables on him (by doing what many customers do to US--telling him that he's too much of a friend to be a customer). I love this!

The only problem is that the customer can then say "If I'm not a customer to you, then why can't we hang out OTC?"
