Mind Blowing Sneaky ways to learn peoples names

ok so i am awful with names. and this has gotten me into trouble in the past on several occasions. well right now yet again i am kind of in a pickle, so i need some advice.

the situation: a while ago back in dallas i hooked up with a really hot latina girl. she left for miami the next day and just got back to dallas today, and go figure im in denver. we have been texting for a while and keeping in contact but i havent seen her since the one night. so i suggested that she go to el salvador with me and my friends, and she said ok. which in my book is awesome, because anyone willing to travel on a whim with me is my type of woman.

but the catch: i cannot for the life of me remember her name. and her going to el salvador could be awesome, like walks on the beach and all of the romantic stereotypical awesome,... or she could learn that i dont know her name and it could very quickly turn into hell.

so what is the best way to sneakily learn her name? I dont really want to facebook friend her. and i could try introducing her to my friends and listen to her name, but id rather figure out her name BEFORE leaving the country with her.
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.

    HAHAHA!

Seriously, while this sucks, it's also hilarious. I'd use a friend you trust to just go up to her and be like "HI, I'M SO AND SO!!" and hopefully she'll be all "I'm (hot latina girl)"

If you don't want to do that can you ask her how she spells her name and tell her you tried to find her on FB but couldn't? But then just don't add her?

Or could she email you from an address that shows her name?

Do you have her phone number? It may be possible to do a reverse phone number lookup.

I save asking for a name until I'm entering a number into a phone. Honestly, how often do friends refer to each other by name? In greeting and parting company. Names aren't really a big deal.

A good way to get her name is to ask her for it. Just say you honestly forgot her name, and you'd like to hear it again.
If I had a warning sticker, what would it say?

i was thinkng of the email trick, but this has gotten me in trouble before. one time i forgot a girls name and she had a really weird name, so she wrote down her email andi looked at it and didnt think it was her name and asked her 'hey could you write your name on top so i remember whose this is?' yea... didnt go to well.

yea i dont think they are important... but one thing i have learned is that most people, especially people who you have hooked up with, disagree. unfortunately i have her saved in my phone as 'hot girl from dallas.' whoops.

my one friend came up with an idea that i think will work-- asking for the full spelling of her first and last name so i can 'make reservations' for her. that seems legit and i have no reason to know her last name, so it makes sense.

A legit excuse works too, but I tend to answer, "It's spelled exactly how it sounds," for my first name.

This sounds like a viable plan.

I have this problem with custies, but getting better lately. I'll go to enter their name in my phone (i have a seperate one for work ) and I'll ask 'how do you spell your name' ..works usually. But when regulars come in, and need to know their names..heh..I'd go for the reservation one, and just ask 'they need to know how to spell your name' or whatever..should work

Bummer. He name must not be on her voice mail because you wouldn't be posting. Google search anything possible you have on her ( ... email , phone ... something may come up ) .
Possibly text back ... whose this ? Then claim you got a text from a weird number and the text wasn't meant for her ( hopefully her reply would contain a response like " It's Emily you nerd " and then you'd have it ) . May not work though. That's what I'd do .

Ahhhh... the "how do you spell that?" is the best way.

I usually use "can you spell that for me?" and when it's like, Bob or Jane or something I just say "hey, sometimes people have crazy spelling and I wanted to make sure it was right".

    It always works.

Ask her for a link to her facebook page. Her name should be on there.
