    Default Flying Car

This would be great for traveling dancers or for someone who wants to work at a club a few hundred miles away from where she lives.

    Want.

This kind of reminds me of my old neighbors. They used to have this little mini aircraft. They pretty much just flew it around the countryside though, mostly over their own acreage.

Sounds cool , until one gets to $194k purchase price at the end of the article. How many people, much less, dancers, would pay that money for something that is not that great a car or aircraft? ( Not saying it is unsafe or a flawed design, but looking at seperate cars, and seperate airplanes available on the market out there doesn't make for a slam dunk purchase case.)

People have enough trouble driving in two dimensions, i'm not sure we should give them a third one.

I want one, and 200k is really not that much for the first model, imo.

Eta: I'd want one even more of it was a winnebago, or Airstream.

It cost about the same as a regular small plane, but you can drive it to and from the airport, which makes it much more practical for everyday use. It's not for everyone, but I could see it as beneficial in some situations for dancers. I've occasionally seen dancers that travel a 100 miles or more to the club where they work. I've heard of some dancers living in L.A. traveling hundreds of miles to Las Vegas to work in a club. If a dancer in these types of situations is doing very well, in the future, it could be worth taking a look at something like this. If a dancer were to buy a vehicle like this mainly for getting back and forth to her club for work, when she retires from dancing, she would be able to sell it and get some or all of the money back that she paid for it. I know that with small planes, so few of them were being built that you could often buy a plane, and when you were finished with it, sell it for more than you paid for it.

I wouldn't buy the first one to go on sale, even if I could afford it, but after it's been out for a while, and it has been proven safe, I would consider getting one if I had enough money. If it turns out not to be safe, and there are a lot of accidents with them, I definitely wouldn't consider it.

They need to come up with a Zipcar type deal for this. ZipPlane? ZipCraft?

i feel like a flying car is long overdue. i feel like at this point in time, we should already be accustomed to flying cars and have a fuel efficient and affordable option. but i dont think the car or gas companies would be too thrilled about that...
The best thing i have heard in a strip club to date:
customer: we should get married right now! we should get a shotgun marriage!
me: uhh... i think you are misunderstanding what a shotgun marriage means. A shotgun marriage means you knock me up and my daddy shows up at your door with a gun and forces you to marry me and raise the baby. You mean elope.
customer: hmm... nah actually i will take the shotgun marriage. At least then we would be having sex.
